Although he’s tied for second place in the Indy Politics/Crossroads Public Affairs poll, Republican Eric Doden says his campaign is feeling the momentum in the last few weeks before the primary. A poll of 500 likely Republican primary voters had Mike Braun in first place at 33 percent. Suzanne Crouch, Eric Doden, and Brad Chambers were all statistically tied for second place. Curtis Hill was third, and Jamie Reitenhour was fourth. Thirty percent were undecided. Doden tells Indy Politics his message is resonating with those undecided voters. The past president of the Indiana Dental Association has been arrested and charged with confinement and battery over incidents allegedly involving a former employee at the dental firm where he works. According to NewsNow Warsaw, Steve Hollar, 57, is charged with two counts of confinement, both felonies; and two counts of battery, both misdemeanors. According to court records. by Casey Smith, Indiana Capital Chronicle April 9, 2024 The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) does not have to issue a nonbinary option on driver’s licenses and identification cards, per an Indiana Court of Appeals ruling on Tuesday. The BMV began recognizing a third gender on licenses with an “X” — meaning “not specified” — in 2019, under an administrative rule. But the next year, then-Attorney General Curtis Hill released an advisory opinion saying the agency didn’t have the authority to do so.
