Early voting begins Tuesday in Texas, and lasts through Oct. 30.Voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day except Sundays when it’s 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be 25 early voting locations across Lubbock County.Early voting will take place at your nearest United Supermarkets, Market Street or Amigos in town. A 35-year-old man from Snyder was killed Saturday following a two-vehicle fatal car crash near Southland in Garza County.According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Christopher Wayne Scates was killed when the crash occurred around 2:58 p.m.In the TxDPS report, investigators state that 23-year-old Rebecca Marie Salinas from Snyder was traveling northbound on U.S. 84 with three boys, all 4-years-old, when her car had a tire blow out.
