REYNOLDS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) - More details are coming out about the teenager who fell from a slippery bluff and died over the weekend at Johnson Shut-Ins State Park in Missouri. Park Rangers say she passed signs that stated "No Trespassing" and walked into a restricted area. The woman has been identified as 18-year-old Mariah Schramm of Kansas City. She died on Saturday afternoon after falling onto rocks in the water below. St. Louis (KMOX) - St. Louis police are out with crime statistics for the first half of 2021. Those numbers show more than 90 people killed and nearly 1,200 aggravated assaults -- most of which were shootings. In addition, almost 1,800 cars were stolen, more than 1,800 cars got broken into, and there were more than 800 burglaries. There were also more than 3,000 acts of vandalism in St. Louis City. Murder suspect leads police on chase, kills himself on St. Louis bridge

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Police blocked the entrance to the McKinley Street bridge after a man, who was a murder suspect, shot himself following a police chase. Police say a baby was found in the backseat of the vehicle he was driving. The bridge that crossed the Mississippi River near Salisbury Street in north St. Louis was closed from the Missouri side around 1 p.m. Friday. Police were chasing a red Dodge Charger out of Illinois. As of last month, nearly all people who die from COVID-19 are unvaccinated, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data analyzed by the Associated Press. Daily deaths related to the novel coronavirus in the U.S. reached a peak of 3,400 in mid-January, said the outlet. Data from May showed that number was down to 300. Approximately 63 percent of all vaccine-eligible Americans over age 12 have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and another 53 percent are fully vaccinated. ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed by a Saint Louis University security guard early Friday morning. St. Louis police say the fatal incident happened just after midnight in the 3300 block of Locust, next to the Searls Hall building.
