DETRIOT (WNCN) – Former Duke offensive lineman Graham Barton is heading to Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers selected Barton with the No. 26 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft at Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit on Thursday. Originally a three-star recruit coming out of high school, the Brentwood, Tenn. native had an immediate impact on the field for the Blue Devils, starting five games at center in his freshman year. Durham Public School Board passes $26 million budget including salary increases for employees, staff

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) -- The Durham Public School Board went back to the drawing board to map out the cost of a pay raise for employees, and unanimously voted to pass the budget Thursday night. Interim Superintendent Cattie Moore proposed a $26 million budget that includes more than $8 million to cover salary increases for DPS support staff and classified employees. This plan also sets a 5% raise for the 2024-25 school year for certified employees and a 3% raise for classified employees. DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Durham police are investigating after officers said a man was found shot dead on Rose Garden Lane on Thursday afternoon. According to the Durham Police Department, officers responded at around 3:29 p.m. to a crash in the 11000 block of Rose Garden Lane.
