COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – A man accused of driving while intoxicated with a 6-year-old passenger entered a plea deal in his case last week and received his sentence. Joshua Kennedy, 33, pleaded no contest and was found guilty Thursday of child endangering and OVI charges. He received a 20-day jail sentence and was placed on probation for two years, according to court records. Johnson, 34, pleaded guilty to an amended indictment charging him with three third-degree felonies of robbery, burglary and endangering children. SPRINGFIELD Twp., Ohio (WKBN) -- Springfield Local High School is remembering an alumni who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War. On Tuesday morning, a plaque was dedicated to honor Private First Class Donald M. Dyce. He was drafted while in high school back in 1968. When he was just 20 years old, he was killed in action. More than 58,000 Americans were killed in the Vietnam war. One hundred were from Mahoning County. Dyce was the only Springfield Township resident to die from enemy fire.
