VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Why did the cow cross the road? To get to the udder side— of Visalia that is. The Visalia Police Department says they assisted ranchers Sunday afternoon in corraling some cows that escaped a stockyard near Downtown Visalia. A patrol officer reported they were in downtown when they spotted a group of cows roaming the area. Police eventually learned eight cows had somehow escaped a stockyard near Ben Maddox Way and Goshen Avenue. Plane makes emergency landing in Fresno neighborhood

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A plane made an emergency landing in a Fresno neighborhood Sunday afternoon, according to the Fresno Fire Department. Firefighters say around 2:20 p.m. they responded to the area of Emerson and Lead Avenues for reports of an aircraft emergency. Upon arrival, fire crews learned a fixed-wing single-engine CESSNA aircraft had experienced some type of malfunction that forced the pilot to make an emergency landing. Man killed visiting northeast Fresno home, suspect arrested

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man was killed early Sunday morning while visiting a home in Fresno, and the suspect who allegedly shot him has been arrested, the Fresno Police Department announced. Police say just before 1 a.m. they responded to the 2900 block of Pryor Drive near Richelle Avenue after being notified by a person inside the home that a man had been shot. TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Multiple gang members were detained Saturday after they were allegedly pointing a gun at cars passing by in Pixley, according to the Tulare County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say just after 1:30 p.m. they responded to a home in the 500 block of East Joanne Avenue in Pixley after receiving reports of gang members pointing a gun at passing cars. FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - An investigation is underway following a 400-acre fire in Fresno County, Cal Fire announced. Fire officials say they responded to a fast-moving grass fire in the area of San Benito and Panoche Road, south of Mendota. According to firefighters, the fire was over 400 acres and it was located in the Local Responsibility Area. They were able to contain the fire, and no homes were being threatened for it. MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Over a thousand marijuana plants have been eradicated as a result of an illegal grow bust in Merced County, the Merced County Sheriff's Office announced. The Merced County Sheriff's Office Sheriff Enforcement says they, along with Code Enforcement Teams, served a search warrant for an illegal marijuana grow at a home in Turlock located in the 17000 block of East Clausen Road.
