Police in Fairfield County are on the hunt for a man who allegedly assaulted and stabbed a woman during a fight. The incident occurred in Shelton at a home on Walnut Tree Hill Road around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23. According to Lt. Robert Kozlowsky of the Shelton Police, officers, and EMS responded and found a 35-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound to the leg.  The initial investigation revealed that the suspect and two women were hanging out at the residence. A much beloved Fairfield County fire marshal has died suddenly, just a year before he planned to retire. Bridgeport Fire Marshal Alberto Hernandez, age 63, of Bridgeport, died on Monday, April 22.  “I want to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Alberto Hernandez," said Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim. Three people are behind bars after allegedly burglarizing cars in a Fairfield County town parking lot. The incident occurred in Darien on Monday, April 22, around 4:30 p.m. at the Whole Foods Market at 150 Ledge Road. According to Lt. T.J. A 47-year-old Connecticut gas station employee has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting minors in exchange for nicotine and vape products. Monir Uddin, of Brooklyn, New York, turned himself in to Connecticut State Police on Saturday, April 20, for the incident on Saturday, Jan. 13, in Litchfield at the Citgo gas station at 199 West Street. A Connecticut man was charged with robbery after allegedly entering a Fleet gas station and demanding money from the clerk eight years after he robbed the same store, police said.  Hartford County resident Gregory West, age 40, of Plainville, was charged on Monday, April 22, for the incident that took place around 10 p.m., April 21, in Southington. A wrong-way Connecticut driver led police on a brief pursuit before crashing into two other cars, injuring a driver, and then assaulting two officers, police said. The Fairfield County incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, in the town of Wilton.
