GRANT COUNTY, Ind. — One man has died after a crash on I-69 in Indianapolis. According to the Indiana State Police, Officers were dispatched at 9:35 a.m. on a report of an injury-involved crash on I-69 northbound near the 269 mile-marker. The preliminary investigation determined that an Indianapolis man was driving a 2009 Chrysler minivan going northbound on I-69. The driver of the Chrysler rear-ended a 2022 Chevrolet Express for an unknown reason. This collision caused the Chevrolet Express to hit a 2021 Freightliner in front of them. INDIANAPOLIS – A member of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Civilian Police Merit Board endorsed a call for sentencing reforms from the Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police. The move comes after Elliahs Dorsey, convicted in the April 2020 death of IMPD Officer Breann Leath, criticized the sentence from Marion Superior Judge Mark Stoner. INDIANAPOLIS – An SUV rear-ended a police car early Thursday morning as officers were transporting a prisoner. It happened around 1:30 a.m. at East Washington Street and North Emerson Avenue. INDIANAPOLIS – Four people were taken to area hospitals following an overnight interstate crash on the east side of Indianapolis. It happened around 1 a.m. Thursday on I-70 eastbound near Arlington Avenue. According to Indiana State Police, the crash involved two vehicles.
