WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — A Wareham man was indicted Wednesday for his role in the overdose death of his two-and-a-half-year-old son. The Plymouth District Attorney’s Office said 32-year-old Donald Humes was charged with manslaughter after methadone was found in his toddler’s system. Police received a call from Humes on April 24, 2022, saying his son was unresponsive and not breathing. Units responded to the home on Waban Avenue and initiated life-saving measurements before taking the toddler to the hospital. PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said that a new traffic pattern will be put in place on Interstate 95 at the Providence Viaduct starting May 3. The work will shift all lanes on the Exit 38 Service Road to the right, which will create a work zone for median barrier installation between the service road lanes and I-95 North through traffic. RIDOT said that the on-ramps from Route 6 East and Memorial Boulevard to I-95 North will be shut down from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. May 3 and May 4. DANVERS, Mass. (WLNE) — A Massachusetts State Police K-9 was credited with capturing a suspect in Danvers on Tuesday. The Massachusetts State Police Department said K-9 Odin took down 37-year-old Joseph Kennedy after a multi-district chase. The pursuit began around 3:30 p.m. as Middleton police attempted to stop a pickup truck operating erratically. RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Raynham Police Department released body cam footage Wednesday of a man who was shot and killed by police after he pointed a gun at a group of officers. 35-year-old Stephen MacLean was shot by two police officers after he pulled out a gun when police knocked on his door.
