And this is because of prior years of mismanagement and fire mitigation that has allowed large amounts of overgrowth, which in turn acts as fuel for wildfires. Fatal crash reported along Highway 93 between Ronan and St. Ignatius

A fatal crash was reported earlier tonight by Montana Highway Patrol along Highway 93 in the Mission Valley. As of 10:50 PM, southbound lanes are still blocked and drivers are advised to use S-212 as an alternate route. Sanders County recovers body of an ice fisherman

SANDERS COUNTY- On Thursday a Trout Creek man didn't return home after ice fishing near Martin Creek. His vehicle near the ice and belongings were found on the ice. Recovery of the body was not successful until Saturday evening due to unsafe conditions and the lack of daylight. On a Facebook post earlier today, Sanders County Sheriff says that the Flathead County Sheriff's office assisted in the recovery. MISSOULA-Earlier this morning, Montana Highway Patrol responded to a vehicular accident on highway 93 south of Missoula at mile marker 87. Crews were on the scene around 9:15 am to the scene. UPDATE 5:31 P.M.- Ramona Runningcrane has been located and is safe. The Missing and Endangered Person Adviosry has been canceled. POLSON- Early this morning, the Polson Police department released a Missing Endangered Person Advisory for 67 year old Ramona Runningcrane. Runningcrane left a residence on the east end of Polson around 3 pm yesterday afternoon. She is known to have dementia, a heart condition and is diabetic and requires medication. HUNGRY HORSE RESERVOIR- Earlier this morning an airplane crashed on the shores of the Hungry Horse Reservoir. The Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino said there were no fatalities however two people were inside the aircraft and were transported to the hospital. The condition of those transported is unknown as this time. Law enforcement and the Flathead County Dive Team will be on scene to remove pieces of the plane and conduct their investigation.
