ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJW) – A Maryland “Power Couple” won not one, but two $1 million prizes on lottery tickets by accidentally replaying the same Powerball numbers twice.
According to a press release from the Maryland Lottery, the couple from Anne Arundel County learned on April 2 that two $1 million winning Powerball tickets were sold at one of their local lottery retailers for the April 1 drawing.

“It was mind-blowing,” the father of two said. “I had no idea I doubled it.”

(WJW) -- U.S. Marshals on Thursday arrested a convicted sex offender who they said failed to register after moving to Cleveland, then fled to Germany for several years to avoid prosecution.

BALTIMORE (WJW)- The water search will resume this morning for the six victims of Baltimore’s tragic Francis Scott Key bridge collapse. All six people are now presumed dead.
Search crews were scheduled to start looking for the victims again at 6 a.m. on Wednesday. Tuesday night the search was called off when conditions became too dangerous for divers.

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A TikTok video shows the moment a cargo ship rammed into Baltimore's Francis Scott Bridge early Tuesday, causing it to completely collapse.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The second person to receive a transplanted heart from a pig has died, nearly six weeks after the highly experimental surgery, his Maryland doctors announced Tuesday.
Lawrence Faucette, 58, was dying from heart failure and ineligible for a traditional heart transplant when he received the genetically modified pig heart on Sept. 20.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. (WDVM) — The man suspected of fatally shooting a Maryland circuit court judge has been found dead, according to authorities.
In a Thursday morning post to Facebook, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said Pedro Argote, 49, of Frederick, was found dead in a heavily wooded area of Williamsport, not far from where the shooting unfolded, ending a weeklong manhunt that rocked the largely rural community.

NORTH CAROLINA (WJZY/WDVM) — The search continues for a man suspected of killing a Maryland judge overseeing his divorce case last week.
Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson, 52, was found dead at his Hagerstown home Thursday night after a reported shooting, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said on Friday. Deputies found Wilkinson in the driveway with apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died, according to Nexstar's WDVM.
