A 24-year-old Cape Cod man accused of stabbing his 62-year-old father faced a judge Wednesday. Ygor Barboza was in court Wednesday with his head down and headphones on. He will be sent to Bridgewater State Hospital for evaluation. He is accused of stabbing his father multiple times at his Cape Cod home on Old Stage Road in Centerville on Tuesday. An armed and masked robber stole hundreds of dollars from a gas station in Burlington, Massachusetts, early Wednesday morning, police said. Officers were still looking for the person who held up the Mobil gas station on Bedford Street at about 3:30 a.m., according to the Burlington Police Department. Wearing a mask and gloves, the robber brandished what looked to be a semiautomatic gun and demanded money, taking about $400 and fleeing down Bedford Street, police said. Steward Health Care said it plans to sell off all its hospitals after announcing this week that it filed for bankruptcy protection. We have returned to a chilly, cloudy, onshore weather patterns across New England for the rest of this week and through the weekend. But why? Our jet stream is very zonal, which means it’s positioned flow is west to east. As opposed to an amplified jet stream, which means flowing north to south with troughs and ridges. A “significant police presence” is being reported in a neighborhood in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, related to ongoing firearms and drug investigations, according to a law enforcement source. A man has been charged with murder in a deadly shooting earlier this year in Chicopee, Massachusetts, according to NBC affiliate WWLP. The shooting reportedly happened Feb. 3 on Springfield Street, wounding 34-year-old Marquis Newson of Chicopee. Newson was hospitalized and died two days later. WWLP reported Tuesday that police had arrested 32-year-old Jalal Williams of Chicopee.
