A 24-year-old Cape Cod man accused of stabbing his 62-year-old father faced a judge Wednesday. Ygor Barboza was in court Wednesday with his head down and headphones on. He will be sent to Bridgewater State Hospital for evaluation. He is accused of stabbing his father multiple times at his Cape Cod home on Old Stage Road in Centerville on Tuesday. An armed and masked robber stole hundreds of dollars from a gas station in Burlington, Massachusetts, early Wednesday morning, police said. Officers were still looking for the person who held up the Mobil gas station on Bedford Street at about 3:30 a.m., according to the Burlington Police Department. Steward Health Care said it plans to sell off all its hospitals after announcing this week that it filed for bankruptcy protection. The Dallas-based company, which operates more than 30 hospitals nationwide, said it does not expect any interruptions in its hospitals’ day-to-day operations, which the company said will continue in the ordinary course throughout the Chapter 11 process. We have returned to a chilly, cloudy, onshore weather patterns across New England for the rest of this week and through the weekend. But why? Our jet stream is very zonal, which means it’s positioned flow is west to east. As opposed to an amplified jet stream, which means flowing north to south with troughs and ridges. As much as we hate to see them go, the warm temperatures are finished for now. Clouds and showers – with a few imbedded downpours or rumbles of thunder – will roll by Wednesday morning. While they are quick, they are also soaking. Some spots may pick up a quick half inch of rain. We’ll feel balmy early on, but drop into the 50s as the rain moves through. Man charged with murder in Chicopee shooting

A man has been charged with murder in a deadly shooting earlier this year in Chicopee, Massachusetts, according to NBC affiliate WWLP. The shooting reportedly happened Feb. 3 on Springfield Street, wounding 34-year-old Marquis Newson of Chicopee. Newson was hospitalized and died two days later.
