SUNBURY, N.C. – The N.C. Department of Transportation is making initial plans for a project to improve safety on approximately 18 miles of N.C. 32 in Chowan and Gates counties. ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WNCN) -- A suspect is wanted after an elderly woman was robbed at a Rocky Mount bank on Friday afternoon, according to police. On Friday shortly before 3:50 p.m., Rocky Mount police responded to a reported robbery at the ATM of a PNC Bank at 1280 Benvenue Road.
