SEATTLE, Wash.,– The FDA just announced a shortage in the popular antidepressant, Zoloft. Dr. Jim Polo the Behavioral Health Medical Director with Regence says this is likely because of an increase in demand during this Pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic is causing an increase in anxiety and depression for a lot of us. With the fears of our health and those of our loved ones and the fears of our economic livelihoods, Dr. Polo says these feelings have lead to an increased demand for antidepressants.

SEATTLE - On Friday, city officials and protestors met behind closed doors at the First African Methodist Episcopal Church in Capitol Hill to talk about the future of the 'CHOP' protest zone.
In a meeting not announced to the public or media, Mayor Jenny Durkan, Fire Chief Harold Scoggins, Andre Taylor, founder of Not This Time, and protesters talked about the CHOP.

SEATTLE – Lawyers representing residents and businesses impacted by the CHOP protest zone agreed not to file a court order, Friday, according a representative from the city attorney’s office for the City of Seattle. This will give the city a little more time to share its plans with them on addressing CHOP.
Several city departments were present throughout the protest zone. WANTED IN SEATTLE —
Seattle Police are asking for the public’s help to identify any of four suspects who attacked and robbed a man who was taking a break from his job.
It happened outside the Metropolitan Market in lower Queen Anne on May 23rd at 1:45am.
The first suspect asked the victim for a lighter, which he handed him. The suspect then threw the lighter to a second suspect, pulled out a black handgun from his jacket and put it to the head of the victim. He demanded his wallet. SEATTLE – Rent for the month of July is due in less than one week and an article in Friday’s Seattle Times reveals as many as 1 in 5 renters across the Seattle region might not be able to afford the payment.
While an eviction moratorium is likely preventing thousands of families from becoming homeless that relief is only temporary.
Other programs meant to help keep families afloat are also becoming overwhelmed.

SEATTLE – The start of summer 2020 is adding another layer to history.
Face masks are mandatory across Washington state starting Friday with some exceptions.
Outside of those exceptions, if you don’t comply, it’s considered a misdemeanor crime.
At a quick glance, the majority of people at Pike Place on Friday were wearing face masks and those who were not will learn the law is not on their side.
“Making a statewide order now, its official, it’s not optional,” Seattle resident Brandon Pietenpol said.

LONGMIRE, Wash. — Mount Rainier National Park Rangers and mountain rescue association teams are still searching for two men who remained missing Friday.
Searchers said they do not want the public’s help in searching because of the dangerous late spring conditions.
They are looking for v=Vincent Djie, a 25-year-old Indonesian student who has been living in Seattle.
He’s been missing from the Longmire area for nearly seven days now.
The second missing hiker is 27-year-old Seattle native … Talal Sabbagh is also missing in a separate case in the Paradise region for about four days now.
