Currently a foster-only pet adoption rescue, Mountain Pet Rescue will be opening an adoption center on Haywood Road in the former Suntrust building. Still in the early stages of planning, designing, and building, when finished! The MPRA adoption Center will house adoptable puppies, kittens and cats. There will be naming opportunities for the cat rooms and puppy runs as well as the meet and greet areas and beyond. Esther Neonatal Kitten Alliance, a nonprofit animal rescue, is excited to announce a capital campaign to purchase the property that has been home to their beloved Kitten Nursery for the past two years. To date the Kitten Alliance has raised $62,000, nearly halfway to their goal of $150,000. ASHEVILLE, NC — August 19, 2022 — Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is taking in beagles who are part of a national effort to relocate 4,000 beagles from the Envigo breeding and research facility in Cumberland, VA. The facility was found to be in violation of several federal regulations, resulting in a judge approving a plan to relocate around 4,000 dogs from the facility.
