Spending a month on a Dexcom has been amazing. I was almost able to forget about type 1 diabetes completely. Type 1 diabetes doesn't often get in the way of much for me. Stubborn highs and annoying hypos are usually something I can brush off with ease and continue with whatever I'm doing. However, last weekend whilst driving home to see my brother's new dog I couldn't seem to get my blood sugar to remain stable. I treated a near hypo at a service station, waited the right amount of time, and continued driving. But when my blood sugar began to drop again all of a sudden I didn't feel safe on the roads.
