Sometime back, I saw my friends, a bunch of YouTubers I follow, talk about Storytel in their videos and how cool the App was so I thought I will give it a shot myself; I must confess that what started as an experiment has now turned into quite an experience. It has been close to two years that I am using Storytel and Loving it, it’s a perfect partner for a book lover like me. It has truly levelled up the experience one can get by listening to the audiobooks. The best part? My self-proclaimed, self-monitored and eventually self-distorted ban on buying books no longer comes into picture. Undoubt ..read more

A love story woven with the elements of commitment, reality and tragedy. Shreya knows love only in its entirety, pure and complete. Nothing needed in its presence, for it’s whole in itself. The boy she falls in love with Aarav, knows love differently, for him love isn’t complete, for him commitment isn’t valued. The story of their love has its ups and downs, with Shreya being the one who knows only one way of living, and that’s with trusting blindly in love, her trust gets betrayed, twice. The author has successfully portrayed the derivatives of a broken heart. The anxiety attacks, the episod ..read more

“Entrepreneurship is a state of mind. It isn’t merely about implementation of an idea. It’s about risk-taking, putting your head above the parapet and trying to create something out of nothing.” Bhaskar Majumdar brings forward the theories, ideas, concepts, visions, and most importantly the ‘Do Nots’ in the journey of entrepreneurship. Divided; elaborated in 18 chapters the book is unputdownable; not only because of the wisdom and the first hand experiences it shares but also in terms of presentation, the versatility of text, having something for each and every one of us. The examples it draw ..read more

The perpetual saga of love, togetherness and all that follows further; when it meets reality things start to take a different turn; one which is unplanned. The story of Kate and Edward begins with all the elements of love compounding together, and resonating in perfect harmony. All flowing well, until their relationship meets their individuality, and that’s where things start talking a detour, one which would ask them to question the validity of love, one that would force them to question the limit of being in love. The narration complements the characters, revealing the best in them. The sel ..read more

A handbook decorated with solidarity, maturing upon us with our approval and in turn reflecting our hidden insecurities, but that’s not where it stops. It simultaneously shows us the path for recovery. It does so with the help of tools that the author has derived. The Key 6 of the book: ‘Dealing with disagreements’ is incredibly well written, and displays immense clarity of the author. ‘Respond, but don’t react’ and ‘discuss but don’t explain’ are two tools each one of us should incorporate in our daily lives. The author has adhered to her flow from the very beginning, and kept it alive all t ..read more

••Book Review•• An unparallel journey inked with empathetic narrative and empathy as the base element in today’s corporate world. The author has, with impeccable clarity narrowed the gap that exists within us as individuals and among us as members of a corporation. The Empathy Deficit, the timeline the author draws upon us and the reason how we arrived where we are today, are all assiduously brought to light. The selection of words and the chronology of explanation makes the book alomost ineluctable. The chapter on ‘Regenerating leadership, repositioning growth’ reveals some harsh reality, an ..read more

The author @abhishek.ramanarayanan has mastered the art of observing, his poetry; individually and collectively is an illustration of this. The pandemic has created an indelible imprint on humans and humanity, the poems here try to convey this imprint in words, and they’ve successfully accomplished their purpose. .. ‘To home’ he said with a cracking voice, Livelihood lost and separated from other boys, Passing state borders in stealth, always agile, He pedalled back home, half a thousand miles ‘As perennial hunger was scarier than the sea!’ is my favourite among the fifty here. .. ‘When the ti ..read more

The “Be Better Bit-By-Bit” model, or what is stated simply as the B5 model through its 12 chapters slowly, carefully and in a calculative manner narrates to us the philosophy that the author has cultivated through his personal experiences. As always, anything substantial is a result of something; in this case it’s the author’s dedication, his observations, which he has turned into a profound learning experience for everyone else. The to-do excercises, the order of the text, the questions he has asked the readers to put forward before them, the examples that he has taken from innumerable texts ..read more

The book blends mythology, fantasy into the world of music men, with Badoga narrating the story of Marbella. The Norse mythology with a pinch of magical powers and remembrance, makes it an interesting read. The author’s art of storytelling is familiar; as it was in the first book; with a pinch of enhancement in his imagination and characterization. The most enticing aspect of the book is the perfect commingle of music in the narration, almost making it an effortless union which keep the readers glued to the story. The book captures the present, with cultural and political references being imm ..read more
