We called them up from a pay phone, and they certainly answered. The Arkells killed it recently with Poolside at the Saddledome in Calgary.
Blending smooth grooves and catchy melodies, Poolside warmed up the crowd. The combination of mellow vocals, shimmering synths, and a laid-back bass line invites fans to get lost in their feel-good rhythm. They covered "Shakedown Street," a beautiful tribute to the late Phil Lesh of The Grateful Dead. The crowd also grooved to songs such as "Around the Sun" and "Can't Stop Your Lovin’." We were so lucky to have Poolside back in our city once again.

The Doobie Brothers have been a well respected staple in the music business since 1970, is there anyone who doesn’t have a favourite Doobie Brothers song? For me, China Grove takes me right back to my high schools’s gym. Am I showing my age now? Pat Simmons and Tom Johnston have played together since the beginning and were joined by Michael McDonald in 1975 and John McFee in 1979.
