As elementary schools brought PreK-3rd graders back to buildings via hybrid yesterday, employees across the county are having major concerns with the eMocha daily COVID-19-related symptom monitoring application, and now one Board Trustee is speaking out. The concerns by many across the street chatter deals with privacy. As a result, employees are feeling very uncertain to sign up for the mandated application. Yesterday, in response to several administrators r ..read more

The street chatter has been ratcheted up late today following word of a racial incident involving a student at Foothill HS in Henderson. According to published reports, school officials kicked it in high gear once this photo was circulating among social media late this week. The photo shows a student displaying a poster that reads: “If you went to Sadie’s with me, it would take my breath away.” A hand-drawn picture of George Floyd, a black man and the deceased victim of police brutality in Minneapolis, MN at the hands of a white police officer last year, was also displayed on the poster. Let me remind you that despite its long odds, if SB111 passes, this Board is likely going away. Here’s how it started: You wanted vaccines…. We gave them to you. You wanted testing… We gave it to you. You wanted PPE… We gave it to you. This is isn't about safety, this is about you never being satisfied. Go back to work, or find a new job.#TrusteeWilliams#CCSD — Katie J. Williams (@realkatiejow) February 12, 2021 And then: Trustee Williams, please don’t tweet during meetings and let’s agree to focus on moving forward together while recognizing the immense challenges reopening schools br ..read more

Another shitshow of a Board meeting If it hasn’t been clear to you thus far, it should be clear now that there is a defined Board voting bloc that seems to be working against students and teachers. It’s detrimental. What some folks are calling “Team Brooks” include a gang of four: Trustees Lola Brooks, Irene Cepeda, Evelyn Garcia-Morales and Katie Williams. It’s them versus what some are calling “Team Ford,” which include Trustee president Linda Cavazos, Danielle Ford and Lisa Guzman. And Team Brooks seems to be voting against anything and everything proposed by Team Ford. It almost seems cal ..read more

The twitter account belonging to the Current Occupant of the District B Seat (Q-Crazytown) continues to be under scrutiny following her tweeting threats to District employees during Thursday’s Board meeting. And now folks want answers as she doubled-down in a subsequent tweet. During the public comment period toward the end of the meeting, she tweeted this out, notice the time stamp of the tweet as the meeting was still in session: She was told that Board members could not publicly comment on items mentioned during the public comment period so it was sheer coincidence that this appeared on he ..read more

The current occupant of the District B Seat is again in hot water over a tweet threatening teachers. And she tweeted it out DURING tonight’s Board meeting while it was still in session. Condemnation was swift. Here’s a sampling: I’ve had one dose of a vaccine. I have my 2nd dose on 3/9. I have to wait 2 weeks after that, so 3/23 CCSD can’t provide soap for my school in a normal school year. My floors have gone weeks without vacuuming. How are they going to provide me with PPE. — Philarious (@Philarious4) February 12, 2021 And whats with all this "WE gave you this, & WE gave you that ..read more
