In addition to an ideal location within walking distance of Boston’s main attractions, shopping, and dining, Four Seasons Hotel Boston strikes a perfect balance of luxury and location for family, business, and even solo travel.
We’ve stayed here a few times, so I was excited to check in after its stunning renovation. There are two Four Seasons in Boston and this is the one on Boylston Street, across from Boston Public Garden.
It’s very different from its sister hotel on One Dalton Street, which I’ve also reviewed. While smaller, I think it could be better for tourists thanks to its location, c ..read more

I love staying at Crosby Street Hotel. My daughter and I needed to be in Lower Manhattan, so I chose it based on my previous stay at sister Firmdale Hotel, Ham Yard in London. I’m a fan of co-owner Kit Kemp’s use of color, plants, patterns, and art that doesn’t look like they’ll go together, but they do.
It’s undoubtedly the priciest luxury boutique hotel in the SoHo area but has earned the highest reviews. It did not disappoint, and I can say with certainty that I will be back.
I booked in like a client and the VIP amenities you can access through us were applied to my stay. Thanks to the out ..read more

Belmont Park is a historic San Diego landmark that provides a fun-filled day for all ages. The nearly 100-year-old beachfront amusement park in Mission Beach is perfect for an action-packed half-day or longer if you include lunch and the beach.
Various rides, including the famed Giant Dipper Roller Coaster and tamer rides for little kids, ensure something for everyone. There’s also a small zipline, a climbing wall, an escape room, mini golf, and more. Or you can head to the game arcade indoors for respite from the sunshine. During fall, you can drive the go-kart track, but The Plunge swimming ..read more

LEGOLAND California is our most requested theme park for families with younger kids. So, we talk with people about the best ways to buy admission and sometimes help them crunch the numbers. I completely understand when people ask about Costco as a resource. I’m a Costco member, too, and I like it when I can save money using my membership.
I can confidently tell you that relying on your local Costco for LEGOLAND tickets is not a good idea. Here’s what you need to know.
Costco Does Not Regularly Sell Theme Park Tickets Online
As I’ve shared extensively, Costco no longer regularly sells theme par ..read more

When people choose to stay in my seaside community, they often want to break up their itinerary with a cultural experience offered by a museum. We do have a handful of museums in La Jolla. I’ll highlight all of them here because they are on my list of popular activities in La Jolla.
Key Takeaways
The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and Birch Aquarium are the most popular La Jolla museums that people drive in specifically to see.
The rest are smaller and free to en ..read more

Nighttime Zoo at the San Diego Zoo showcases a different side of our most famous attraction with special live entertainment and extended summer hours. And the best part is that it’s all included with admission! However, there are a few things you need to know before you go to make the most out of your visit.
Why I Love Nighttime Zoo
I love this event because if you go to the Zoo in the afternoon, you’re in less of a rush to leave. It’s cooler (literally) in the evenings on warmer days.
Plus, during most summer evenings, it doesn’t actually get dark in San Diego until around 8 p.m., so it makes ..read more
