A Matter Of Touch...
The EntreMusician

From The Moment You Were Born, You Knew Touch. The Doctor Who Delivered You Placed You Upon Your Mother’s Breasts. You were passed around from one family member to another as an infant. You were held, cuddled, kissed on and caressed. You grew up understanding, needing and yearning for the power, the impact, the excitement only a touch could bring. A Hug, An Embrace, A High Five, A Chest Bump, A Gentle Hand On Your Shoulder to Encourage You. Our Lives Are Built Upon Touching Each Other. In the 17 & 1800’s all a man needed was his word and a handshake to seal a deal - even one which meant th ..read more

SPECIFICITY
The EntreMusician

A major area where I’ve fumbled the ball as an EntreMusician were those (many) occasions when I lacked clarity. Whether in defining, explaining or processing a goal, being obsessively thorough is of most importance. Naturally as a “Big Picture” thinker, I’ve needed to surround myself with teammates who are extremely literal and intricate toward every detail. I have formed a Small Mastermind Group with some of the most tenacious people on the planet. They hold my feet to the fire. They help clear away the clutter and keep me accountable in dividing loyalties between what are real priorities and ..read more

I Know I Am Not  The First to Ask these Questions Aloud, but Eagerly Assert that EntreMusicians Should Inquire Frequently & Loudly, even Vehemently when Such Subjects Present Themselves . Who Owns The Cloud?  Who Manages/Controls The Cloud?  Most Importantly, What is Happening to My Intellectual Property when I Upload to this Cloud? As we already (or should) know, All of Our Pictures & Posts Uploaded to Facebook and other Social Media No Longer belongs to Us once we hit “Enter” on our keyboards. The Banking Industry is slowly, gingerly getting us used ..read more

Truth can be hidden, disguised, mishandled, abused, forsaken, alluded to, cross-examined, manipulated into facts and unabashedly assaulted. But Truth cannot long be mistaken and it doesn’t have to be defended for very long. Truth stands its ground and stares back at you. Silent & Strong. You Can’t Ignore Truth EntreMusicians love, embrace and cling to Truth. His Songs may not fit the popular formats. Her Tunes may be passed over – again. But they Will be Heard by those who Hear – who Listen – who Seek Truth. Be Not Discouraged! Speak Truth Write Truth Produce Truth Perform Truth Sell & ..read more

The EntreMusician
by Jere Beulah

After 60+ years of striding alongside Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues and Hip-Hop while witnessing the brutal demise of Disco, Grunge, True R&B and various forms of New Wave, Motown Records may not be the Musical Institutional it once was, but it certainly remains a stellar, marketable genre most often spoken of in a category all its own. Having digested Berry Gordy’s Official Autobiography, “To Be Loved“ numerous times, including countless other books and documentaries on Hitsville, there are at least Six Invaluable Lessons EntreMusicians can Learn from Motown and Incorpor ..read more

NEVER SAY NO!

There is a biblical proverb which has always fascinated me. Proverbs 26:4-5 (ESV) 4 Answer not a fool according to his folly,     lest you be like him yourself. 5 Answer a fool according to his folly,     lest he be wise in his own eyes. Like You, At First Glance I Always Scratch My Head and Ask “What Gives? Which Is It?!” Without turning this into a full fledged Bible Study, which would be OK with me sometime, but for this morning and especially since I haven’t had my coffee yet; this is not the point of today’s post. Both statements ..read more

REVISITING THE NOTION OF "NO"
The EntreMusician
by Jere Beulah

A decade ago, I vividly remember having a conversation with my two youngest daughters, adolescents at the time, to properly explain a phrase they’d seldom heard around our home. Truthfully, they had so rarely heard this word that when my wife or I dared utter it, they’d think life itself was crashing down around them. During my 22 minute, uh, lecture, I clearly knew I was the one to blame for needing to pause our lives to revisit this very important expression. After all, when I was a teen, my mother exclaimed this distinct determiner to my sisters and I so often, whenever we asked for somethi ..read more

Never Let Anyone Tell You ‘That Ain’t The Sound Everyone is Into‘ and then You Try To Fit In; Stay True to that Sound in Your Heart. Never Let the Engineer have the Final Say on Your Mix; Stay True to that Sound in Your Head. Always Look Out for Another EntreMusician, even if it means their advancement over your own; It will ALWAYS Come Back Around. Always Maintain Integrity, Courtesy & Respect toward those who don’t show the same toward you; One day they may have to return to your doorstep. Never Forget to Immediately Say Thank You and then to Follow Up again in Two Weeks with Another Not ..read more

Are You Too Social to Connect?
The EntreMusician
by Jere Beulah

On this Broad Boulevard of Social Distancing, where the entire world remains six feet physical feet from each other, Social Media Use is tipping the scales. To be truthful, it’s mainly nonsensical, more partisan complaining disguised as aid, silly memes, binge watching old movies and the acceleration of Live Artist Showcases from their backyard. There’s a ton of traffic. Everybody’s Talking. Nobody is Connecting. All of this activity has caused me to stop and think about the many distractions EntreMusicians face, which are described as networking but are actually nothing more that time killers ..read more
