CUB was contracted to install all façade retention, along with full asbestos and demolition of back section of the building on Hunter Street, Newcastle West. The façade installation involved some really technical engineering to working with all the current services in the area and to make sure this old building was protected. Small amount of friable asbestos was encapsulated and removed. Cub Demolition was contracted to complete all bulk and detailed earthworks for new commercial industrial shed at Munibung road, Cardiff. The job consisted of working within tolerances of +- 5mm. We also had to construct two asphalt carparks roughly 800m2 each, which consisted of all correct falls from working around a live Caltex pipe and also all drainage and kerb and gutter. Cub Demolition often works with other companies on large scale projects to facilitate their demolition work. In this case, Downer Utilities contact us to help them with their contract in regards to the Sewage Treatment Plant in Muswellbrook. We were contracted to demolish the old sewage treatment plant and remediate and Hydro Mulch the site on completion. This included the removal of all non-friable asbestos from old buildings and tanks. Cub Demolition were contracted by North Construction and Building to help with the Belmont Hospital Renovation. This included partial removal of the front facade of the building plus internal strip out of some of the wards. All demolition work was planned and executed in a dust free fashion. This was a requirement as the Hospital was still operating during the project with patients and staff still frequenting the building. Cub Demolition were contracted by Built to be involved with The Prince of Wales Hotel Merewether renovation. Our job was to gut the existing entry foyer which included the removal of walls and suspended slab. It was all pulled down to engineered specifications to make way for the new renovation. We used an electric robot crusher, a posi track bobcat and 1.5 tonne excavator to strip the inside the building. Cub Demolition were contracted by Richard Crookes Construction to demolish the old school area of Warnervale Primary School . All demolition work was planned and executed in an extremely safe manner including the removal of all non-friable and Friable asbestos (Encapsulate all areas).
