Dani Kiwi Meier is a New Zealander who moved to Switzerland and became a huge part of the European snowboard community. As a pro rider Dani had parts in videos, covers of magazines, and wrote features and columns influencing the culture and style of the scene. He's an absolute gem of a human and I remember his name being on Rad Air Soul snowboards, the asymmetrical free carve boards I talk about riding with aggressive angles every once in a while on the show. Enjoy this interview from his camper down at Baker.

His story is a powerful reminder that being different is often a superpower. To any one out there with autism, kids with autism —or anyone who feels like they don’t quite fit the mold—this episode is for you. Mike Olson is an absolute legend of snowboarding. Arguably the individual responsible for the most innovation, Mike brought us modern sidecut, torsion wrap, tri-axial woven fibre glass, sublimated graphics, lifetime team riders, magna-traction, banana-tech rocker, a company that doesn't do ads, and trade show booths that are remembered 30 years later. Mervin Manufacturing is shrouded in mystery and lore so there are more fun history lessons than a university level undergrad course (I don't even know what that means)... Dive in and enjoy the enigma that is Mike Olson...
