After five years, Jug Dubrovnik returned the Regional League crown in its treasury. The Dubrovnik-based side beat Jadran Split in a thrilling final in Belgrade after a penalty shootout 14:12 (10:10 regular time). Jug won its fifth Regional League title, the first one after 2018. Marseille mathematically secured 1st place in the regular season of the French League and will enter the playoffs from the “pole position” The reigning champion earned a 14:10 away win over Noisy-le-Sec today. Noisy suffered two losses this week, so its 2nd place is in danger now. Tourcoing beat Noisy earlier this week (17:15) in the postponed derby of the 15th round. This weekend, Tourcoing defeated Sete 21:11, climbed to 3rd place, and came very close to Noisy. Only four points separate these two rivals. Matchday 19 probably saw the tightest set of games of the whole season so far, with only one team – Sabadell – really winning by a huge margin.  The reigning champions downed Catalunya 21-8 with a typically emphatic attacking team performance. Croatian final in Belgrade. Jug and Jadran will meet in the Regional League final in the pool “11. April – Vlaho Bata Orlic”. Both semifinals were thrilling and ended in penalty shootouts. Jug upset host and reigning champion Novi Beograd. The home side, which arrived at the F4 with 11 wins in as many games, led most of the time. The World Aquatics Bureau has recently approved new Competition Regulations in all six aquatic sports and announced it yesterday. As for water polo, there are two significant changes. One concerns the change of nationality (the same for all aquatic sports), and the other affects the duration of the game. There will be no draws.
