A couple of weekends ago, I finally managed to escape my mundane routine and hang out with my friend and her 2-year-old daughter at the Selfie Factory O2. I was excited to check out the quirky interactive pop-up experience that promised to up my Instagram game. As soon as we walked in, we were transported to a world of vibrant colours and funky decor. It was like stepping into a candy-coloured dreamland. My friend's daughter was in awe, and she was ready to show off her best poses and steal the show. We started off in the pink replica tube train, which was a bit of a tight squeeze for us ad ..read more

It's all about the Tweed Blazer

If anyone has the responsibility of dressing me for my funeral, the brief is simple - put me in a fitted blazer and your job is done. I'm not at the stage where I need to see a therapist but my addiction to blazers is a borderline obsession. They have been part of my staple capsule wardrobe for well over a decade and I can’t get enough. In my defence, this new purchase is the only one in the collection that's a monochrome tweed blazer. I love the way it can be switched up instantly, as its oversized cut gives it an androgynous relaxed fit.  This ensemble was all about combinin ..read more

Is Celery Juice Good For You? Health Benefits after 100 days

I never thought I’d see the day when I would be downing up to 32oz celery juice every day. Every morning, without fail, I juice or blend, and 100 days in, it's now part of my daily regime. I know this has been a huge trend over the years, but it wasn’t until it was recommended to me on a Reiki course, that I took note. It was at this course that I heard about the ‘Medical Medium’, Anthony William, the originator of the global celery juice movement, and New York Times best selling author.  If this was something I had seen as the new celebrity endorsed fad on social media, I probably would ..read more

As the clocks FINALLY go forward this weekend, I am beyond excited to bury my Winter coat and clothes for a season while I get ready for Summer. Not only is the phase of sweats and PJs nearly over, I’ll soon be reunited my bra and pairs of jeans, and make some sort of effort when I leave my front door.  It will come no surprise to you that this shoot took place over 7 months ago. A girl can’t really collate any decent content when she’s housebound, locked in and been wearing the same tracksuit sets for the last three months.   However, as we are slowly but surely seeing the lig ..read more

It's all about Self Acceptance

Words like self-love and self-acceptance are so overused these days, they’ve become somewhat diluted. As the mindfulness industry continues to grow, so does the marketing behind it. When a social media campaign or hashtag becomes more about resonating with audiences to drive impressions, the real message behind words like self-love, can get lost. When we talk about self-love, what does that even mean? Some of the most confident looking people in the world are probably some of the most insecure, so how can we really know what ‘loving yourself’ should feel like? As someone who has spent a lo ..read more

Review: Dalloway Terrace London

A couple of weeks ago, my friend and I went to the beautiful Dalloway Terrace restaurant for lunch.  I can’t tell you how good it feels to be doing things like this again. Situated at The Bloomsbury Hotel, this indoor-outdoor space is one of London’s best hidden gems, constantly taking you to whimsical worlds with their seasonal installations. I was lucky to see this spring inspired décor with its vibrant floral arrangement in a picture-perfect summer setting. Though their afternoon tea offering was very tempting, my friend and I decided to have a good hearty lunch. Lunch or dining out ..read more

It's All about African Fashion, Dresses and Fabrics

It makes me so proud to see the African fashion industry finally blow up internationally. I’ve always had a few pieces in my wardrobe but when I went to Sierra Leone for Christmas in 2019, I pretty much designed an entire collection of African dresses, skirts, and tops. I chose all the fabric and then worked with local tailors to design, cut, and sew them. I’ve already blogged abouthow I started designing my African outfits , but this latest collection was my favourite experience so far. My cousins and friends would take me to local markets where we’d hunt down beautiful African prints and ha ..read more

It's all about London Treehouse Hotel : The Nest Rooftop Bar Review

Most Londoners will tell you that as soon as the sun’s out, all want you want to do is get to the nearest rooftop bar and get a cocktail in your hand. Add nearly four months of lockdown to that equation and… well you can imagine the mood. As soon as we got freedom, my friend and I popped to London Treehouse Hotel’s rooftop bar, The Nest for drinks. Located in the heart of Marylebone just a short walk from Oxford Circus station, the London Treehouse Hotel opened in 2019, a new addition to the 1Hotels group. The group already has spots in LA, New York, and Miami, and are leading pioneers in su ..read more

Review: David Mach Out Of Order Sculpture

If you’re into art installations, I would highly recommend seeing the Out of Order sculpture, a work of art by Scottish artist David Mach. The red phone box is an iconic UK symbol so this fun interpretation of 12 phone boxes toppled over like dominoes is epic. My friend and I decided to visit when we were in the area to see it for ourselves and enjoyed a photo friendly landscape. Located on old London road in Kingston Upon Thames, this landmark was originally installed in 1989, and refurbished in 2019 to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Considering there are only around 7000 of the origina ..read more
