“Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake to the present moment. It is the continuous practice of touching life deeply in every moment of daily life. To be mindful is to be truly alive, present and at one with those around you and with what you are doing. We bring our body and mind into harmony while we wash the dishes, drive the car or take our morning shower.״
- Thich Nhat Hanh
What is mindfulness?

Most of us believe that we have all the time in the world to change. Is that so? When is a good time for change? Is there any time other than NOW? We tell ourselves that now is not a good time, that first, we need to finish this thing and then we will make that change. Then- we will change the diet… We will quit the job… change our lifestyle… work on our relationship… contact this person… take care of that thing… go to the doctor… start working out… stop with this habit.. start taking action… Find and pursue our passion… We convince ourselves that we don’t have a choice right now, but later on ..read more

What does it mean - meet the change? How can I meet and adapt to something that keeps changing? Meeting change is our ability to experience this moment from clarity, by observing our thoughts that cover and distort what is, and projecting what isn't. Most of us perceive life mentally rather than experientially - through our ideas about life rather than through our actual experience of life. That means, we interpret life from a view point of right and wrong, good and bad, should or shouldn't, and not from what is really happening [reality]. Our experiences became our thoughts and feelings, and ..read more

What Is Self-Inquiry And How Does One Inquire?
“This place you are speaking about... I have glimpses of it but I get lost in the movement very quickly.”
This is where I point to the mind, drop all the ideas about silence, oneness, presence, Nirvana, and just come back to reality.
For the sake of this conversation, Reality is whatever is happening in the body right now. Which includes the 5 senses, sensations, momentary thoughts.
Just put the attention on reality, without elaborating more than what is moment by moment, and the rest will happen by itself.
You don't need trust to meet reality ..read more

Can I be with myself, when I don't want to?
Can I see the perfection of this moment, even when I feel pain?
Can I recognize that right now, all is fine?
The thing is,
I don't have a problem with life.
The problem starts only when I believe the thoughts
'It could be like this'
'It should be like that'
'It shouldn't be like that'
I forgot...
That these are only thoughts.
The tool is to recognize them
To notice their appearance
And to awaken to the reality
of what is - as it is, moment by moment.
I don't have to understand reality...
I don't have to understand the mind...
I don't have to underst ..read more

What I came to realize from the pandemic about humanity, myself included. I found this time to be very insightful because it showed me how conditioned I am. It showed me that ever since I was born, society has conditioned me to perceive life in a particular way. I found one particular weakness in this pandemic: Adapting to Change As long as I know what is going to happen, as long as I have some previous experience or knowledge to deal with what is happening, I feel fine, secure, calm. But at a time when there is a lot of uncertainty, not knowing how this situation will affect my life, stress s ..read more

I often think about reaching my goal. Becoming.
But the question is,
What is the reason that I want to become?
What is the reason that I want to achieve?
What is it that I'm truly looking for?
I forgot to stop and ask this simple question: What do I really want?
I want to be happy,
I want to feel alive,
I want to be fulfilled,
I want to feel connected and loved,
I want to feel appreciated.
As long as I seek to become something,
it will be impossible to acknowledge and to recognize what I already have.
The conditioning is to be... There.
To reach my goal, I need to go through a process of beco ..read more

ALWAYS is only NOW.
What is being happy?
It might appear like a nice concept, a nice philosophical discussion. But you can experience it right now at this moment. this simple direct experience before the thought arises, before “I need anything” before labelling this experience, and by that, limiting it. To bring this theory into practicality, I have to come back and be here and connect to my five senses. This is what is happening right now. It's up to us to remember. Our job is to remind ourselves to be here. we don't have to have a concept about being here, it is what it is. Maybe you ask yo ..read more

Have you ever found yourself hurrying to the nearest bakery or ice cream shop stressed\angry? It felt pretty good in the first few bites – with an immediate change of mood? Emotional eater? Join the club! A lot of people around the world experience “Emotional Eating” and not even aware of it. To understand what “emotional eating” actually is, we have to start with the basics: the mechanism of “Pleasure and Pain”. We were all programmed to seek pleasure and avoid pain. It’s the most primitive part of the human nervous system. So, when we eat, we are seeking the pleasure of food, and we ar ..read more

An old Zen Story
A hermit was meditating by a river when a young man interrupted him.
"Master, I wish to become your disciple," said the man.
"Why?" replied the hermit. The young man thought for a moment.
"Because I want to find the purpose of life."
The master jumped up, grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, dragged him into the river, and plunged his head underwater. After holding him there for a minute, with him kicking and struggling to free himself, the master finally pulled him up out of the river. The young man coughed up water and gasped to get his breath.
When he eventually quieted ..read more
