Hi friends! It’s been a long year but as the temperatures drop, I’ve dusted off my Baking Steel and am getting back in the habit of making pizzas at home. I was gifted a can of Mutti Pizza Sauce with Basil & Oregano by my mother-in-law a few months ago, and finally got around to giving it a try.
Mutti Pizza Sauce with Basil & Oregano comes in a 14 oz can, and has a pretty short ingredient list – tomatoes, Mediterranean sea salt, basil, oregano, onion, and “natural flavor”. One can has enough sauce for 4 pizzas, so use it for pizza night, or plan on setting aside and using the remainde ..read more

Six months ago, my husband and I traded in our apartment lifestyle for a mortgage and bought our first home together. With the new house, we got a big fenced in yard and almost twice as much space as before, including a gorgeous kitchen with stainless steel appliances.
We were grateful to have purchased a home that was move-in ready and felt like we had everything we needed to hit the ground running as homeowners. As time went by, however, we realized that there was one essential thing missing… a micro ..read more

The weather is starting to warm up, the days are longer, and spring vacations are fast approaching, so I am super excited to announce that as of March 3rd, 2020, Santarpio’s is now open in Logan Airport!
Santarpio’s at Logan Airport is located in Terminal C in a gorgeous new space that offers tons of bar seating, sit down service, and of course, East Boston’s most legendary pizza.
If you fly JetBlue often like I do, you’re probably very familiar with Terminal C, but it branches off in a lot of different directions and can be a doozy if it’s your first time at Logan.
To find Santarpio’s, you w ..read more

Here we go, folks, my first pizza review in the town where we’ve planted some roots, Napoli Pizza in Weymouth, MA. I ordered a medium buffalo chicken pizza on Uber Eats and was pleasantly surprised by the smooth and quick delivery. The pizza came in less than half an hour, it was great.
When I opened the box I liked what I saw. My buffalo chicken pizza from Napoli Pizza had buffalo chicken tenders, mozzarella, and blue cheese with a hot sauce base. The toppings were absolutely delicious, especially with a little Ken’s Blue Cheese Dressing drizzled on top.
However, I was a little bummed by the ..read more

Hands down, the number one thing that people ask me is, “I’m visiting Boston, where should I get pizza?” Usually the pizza fans who reach out to me have heard of the big names like Regina Pizzeria, Galleria Umberto, and Santarpio’s, but there are a ton more great pizza places out there who fly under the radar when it comes to this question.
This list, in no particular order, is of my 8 personal favorite places to get pizza in Boston. A lot of these restaurants have huge sentimental value to me, and they’re the places that my friends and I go back to over and over again.

It was a perfect storm. I’ve been craving penne alla vodka like crazy and was having a lazy Sunday, so I decided to try out Amazon Prime Whole Foods delivery and get some vodka sauce delivered. The future is here, folks!
I’ll write more about the Amazon Prime Whole Foods delivery experience in another post, but it was surprisingly easy and enjoyable. I had everything I ordered in just under two hours, including the star of this post, Whole Foods’ Vodka Sauce.
This sauce, as you can see in the above picture, is the kind that comes refrigerated from their prepared foods section.

This past December, my fiance & I went to the ill-fated Patriots vs. Chiefs game at Gillette Stadium. It was a really cold day and after getting into the stadium, we set our sights on finding some beer and snacks. Expecting to grab Papa Gino’s and Bud Light, we stumbled into “Ale House” simply because they were a Gillette Stadium pizza option and the line wasn’t too long.
When we got to the front and saw the beer options, I was amazed to see Heady Topper cans on sale for the relatively reasonable price of $12 each. My fiance grabbed a Heady Topper, I got something by Trillium, and we deci ..read more

Blind Pig Pizza in Hartford, CT is a great spot that offers wood-fired pizzas that aren’t the type of pizza that first comes to mind when you think of Connecticut, but is great nonetheless.
As someone who grew up in CT and has watched Hartford’s transformation from afar over the past decade, I love to see a restaurant like Blind Pig thriving. They have a killer and unique pizza menu, heavy on meat toppings, with daily specials like “$7 Marg Mondays” & “We Care Wednesdays”. Dare I say, Blind Pig by themselves sweeten the idea of moving back one day.

My first job out of college was in the Financial District, and just like everyone else who works there, I quickly learned that Al’s of State Street is a great place to grab lunch. This chicken pesto sandwich recipe is inspired by Al’s, who fed me during some of my most formative years.
Alas, I now work in the suburbs and can no longer venture out at lunchtime for that iconic yellow bagged lunch.
Instead, I make my own version of one of my favorites from Al’s, their chicken pesto sandwich. This chicken pesto sandwich recipe is extremely easy to prepare, involving only 3 steps.
