Oh boy. This is a makeover to top all other makeovers that I’ve done. This tiny bathroom in our master bedroom has been hidden away because it was so ugly. Okay, it wasn’t terrible, but it just didn’t feel like me. Please enjoy this guide on how I completed a $100 bathroom remodel.  I never dreamed that I would find the time to re-do it and I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it, until I was scrolling Facebook marketplace as you do, and stumbled across this pharmacy mirror for $20! I quickly jumped on it because I had been eyeing this exact one but it retails for over $100! What ..read more

It’s teachers appreciation week and now more than ever we need to recognize that our teachers are absolutely AMAZING. My mom, sister, and mother-in-law are all educators so I have a good idea of what teachers want and I have complied a list of gift ideas for Teachers Appreciation Week. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that a global pandemic is taking place and schools are out. All the kiddos are at home and most of them are doing some form of distance learning. Even though you can’t deliver a gift in person to your child’s teacher, there are still some ways you can show your ap ..read more

Oh well, It’s the weekend. I’m back to distract you with my $100 closet remodel (otherwise known as the February house project that is just now being written). If you like organization and terrible before photos but also really good after photos, stick around. *This post contains affiliate links. DIY Book Wall Decor From the moment that I saw CottonStem’s book wall, I knew that I wanted one. I just didn’t know where I would put it. Flash forward to now, Evan and I have decided to stay in our current house for the next two years (More on why we are doing this later). I decided that if we are going to stay here then I need to at least be creating something or I’ll go crazy. I love to rearrange furniture but our current home layout doesn’t allow for much variation so decorating the walls is where I get to use my creative genes the most. Enter, DIY book wall art. If you’ve been reading fo ..read more

2020 is here! That is so weird to say and write. It just doesn’t flow and I have definitely written it wrong several times.  I have given my goals for 2020 a lot of thought in the last couple of weeks and thought I’d share a few with you. If you didn’t read my resolutions from last year, here is a link.  Read more- My plan this year is to read 12 books. Or one book a month. I know this doesn’t seem like a lot, but for someone who works from 7-5 and then also has a two year old and two side businesses, and usually a mountain of laundry, there doesn’t seem to be much time left over for ..read more

My whole family has been sick this weekend. Isla had a tummy bug and I’ve got a terrible upper respiratory infection at the moment. I thought Evan had been spared but he has caught Isla’s tummy bug. That is why I haven’t posted in a few days. Saturday afternoon we made some cookies and I wanted to share the recipe with you. I have always loved baking with my Grandma. It doesn’t happen very often because she lives in Illinois and we only see her every couple of years. We always exchange recipes and try them out. My grandma makes all kinds of cookies for Christmas. When we visit her house she ha ..read more

This has been a wonderful year. Nothing big has happened or anything. Although, that could be a good thing. We’ve just been working, enjoying life with Isla Rose, playing with our puppies and spending a little more time at home with each other.  I thought i’d take just a minute and update you on life as of late.  All in all, it’s been a quiet year. I’ll be sad to see 2019 go but I’m excited for all the new things that the new year (and new decade) will bring. We will begin house shopping next year, planning the next steps for our family, expanding our business (both PO ..read more
