Lucara’s US$ 53M revenue in final diamond tender beat estimates

Lucara Diamond Corp. has reported that its final diamond tender of 2019, held on December 12th, generated sales proceeds of US$ 52.9 million, 16 per cent higher than expected and achieved an average price of US$ 548 per carat.  Market pricing improvements were noted in all size classes.  The December tender puts Lucara’s 2019 revenue at US$ 192.5 million exceeding the 2019 revenue guidance of US$ 170 – US$ 180 million. De Beers rough sales drop 22% YoY to US$ 425M in cycle 10

De Beers Group today announced the value of rough diamond sales (Global Sightholder Sales and Auctions) for the tenth sales cycle of 2019. The miner has realised US$ 425 million down 21.88 per cent on the same cycle a year earlier (cycle 10 2018 – US$ 544 million). This sales figure is higher than the US$ 400 million posted in cycle 9 of this year.
