Hey friends! It's been a good few months since I've been on here but I could not let 2022 end without sharing with you what this year has been like for me. Every year is always interesting and it feels like my eyes open a little wider each year. Maybe it's true that one year older = one year wiser . I recently turned one year older () and I love it here! Honestly, my initial panic after turning 25 has completely dissipated and now each year, I look forward to what lies ahead instead of worrying about what has gone past. Don't get me wrong, I loved my 20s and there are some periods I deeply rem ..read more

Hey guys, happy almost-end-of-the-year! Yep, still over here reeling over the fact that we're now close to the end of August! It's been a good summer so far and as someone who loves warm weather, it's been nice to have a couple of heatwaves. For most of us, the heatwave has meant slowing down and not pushing ourselves too much. Hot weather in itself can be quite physically taxing (don't ask me how; I don't know the science, just what my body says ‍♀️). The last few months have been a delicate dance between being out in the sun, making the most of the summer, and hiding behind my black-out curt ..read more

Hey guys, hope you're having a great weekend! Now, before you get excited about the title of this blog post, don't; not too much anyway. You can be a little excited because it's still exciting, just not what you might think. So if you're thinking this is a post about steps to being a completely holy & righteous person, this ain't a post about that . This post is simply four things that are good principles to live by because God is a God of principle and He honours His words and promises. Ok, now you can get excited! Thing is, you might already live by these principles and not think too muc ..read more

Happy new month! OMG, I can’t believe July is over! We’re basically just counting down the days to Christmas now. That’s how it feels for me when July is over - August always whizzes past, September and October are pretty uneventful and you end up wishing the time away because you’re looking forward to the next holiday. See? Anyway, I made a new friend in the week and was introduced to the most amazing app on the App Store - Love Nudge! If you’ve read The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman, you’ll be pleased to know this app exists. If you’re not familiar with the 5 love languages, it’s a book b ..read more

Over the last few years, you may have noticed that there is a lot more coverage of the damage being done to this earth, caused by centuries and decades of bad human habits. We've been naughty and as a result, the earth is suffering for it. Not only is she suffering she is not going to be able to look after us very soon and something needs to be done about it. As Michael Jackson wisely sang, "I'm starting with the man in the mirror". I decided a few years ago that I would do what I could to leave this planet a better place for my children and grandchildren. I care about this planet and the stat ..read more

Hey guys, hope you’re all enjoying the extended Bank Holiday weekend. I’ve set myself a number of tasks to complete as I set out to make my physical, mental and spiritual environment just a little better. I’ve always been on this journey of making myself better but find that with my starter non-finisher personality trait, I often pause and have to restart. Thing is, nothing wrong with taking a break now and then because, you know, life happens. The most important thing for me is that I never stop completely. This journey is one that I cannot stop because my future self needs me to keep going ..read more

Stop and smell the roses!

Stop and smell the roses (idiomatic): To relax; to take time out of one's busy schedule to enjoy or appreciate the beauty of life. Hey guys, hope you’ve all had a fantastic week and are looking forward to the weekend! I spent a few days in London during the week and let me tell you, it’s been a while since I just let myself think of nothing else except what was in front of me. The thing about me is, I have a really bad habit of thinking at least a few weeks ahead and sometimes worrying about things before those things even know they exist in my mind! You get what I mean, right? It‘s a habit I ..read more

Give God Space!

Happy new week lovely readers! Hope you've had a good weekend and are ready to boss this new week! I know you are and as I say this, you're probably thinking of all the things you have to do at home and at work. Don't let nerves settle in as you think of those things. Don't fill your mind, time and space with things you think you need to do in order to make your week good. That's where the anxiety starts to creep in and take over. When our thoughts are focused on all the things we need to do, we put that pressure on ourselves. We take on that burden to make all those things happen. And then we ..read more

Happy May Bank Holiday! The weekend is here! *insert other weekend-happy greetings here* I hope you're as excited as I am for this weekend. For me, there's lots of mixed feelings as I officially become a single inhabitant in my flat for the first time in a very long time. What I'm trying to say (in a clearly convoluted way) is that my other, other half (being my sister) is moving to a new island today! I'm writing this post from a new location where I reflect on the new responsibilities that come with living alone. It's important to reflect on one's responsibilities every once in a while to pu ..read more

Happy New Year to you! I just about missed the start of the year, just about , so I think I can still say that since it's my first post this year. And what a post this is! Honestly, I'll keep this very short because I believe what you will receive from reading this post is more than anything I can write on here. My prayer, as you read this, is for God to open your eyes and pour out His Spirit on you and more importantly, open the eyes of your understanding to catch this word! Let's get into it. If you haven't read the account of creation in a while, please, when you finish reading this post, g ..read more
