If 2023 went quickly, so too did the break – and January! I trust that you’re well, and ready for a great year. A highlight for my family was multiple planes, buses, trains, light rail, ferries, and riverboat postie cruise in Sydney (the less I say about my ‘fun’ on the rollercoaster at Luna Park having been talked into by our two tweenagers, the better!). Lots has been happening, and lots is happening in Parking Australia and across the wider parking and transport community. Just before Christmas, we saw changes to the government in Queensland, and wrote on the day he was sworn in to new Mini ..read more

“Where did the year go?!” is a refrain that I’ve been hearing much lately – and using myself as I step back and reflect on my first few months with Parking Australia and also the association’s year itself. We concluded our events schedule recently with a great panel on AI and data analytics. The discussion as always was positive, thought-provoking, a ..read more

Thank you to everyone who has made me so welcome as I’ve settled into the role as Parking Australia’s new CEO. It’s been a busy, interesting, and productive few weeks, and I’ve particularly appreciated meeting, listening to and learning from members (whose support we greatly value) and key stakeholders. I’m very much looking to meeting colleagues in Brisbane next week at our networking event. The panel’s thoughts on ‘finding a balance’ is an apt analogy for an industry which is focused on people, their needs, and the many associated challenges and opportunities that come with this. What ..read more
