A loved One at Wit’s End Corner With pressures piled up so high The efforts so valiant relinquished And small looking toward the Sky. I wish that I could relieve same She came to me wet and worn And little was done but listening Been listening since she was born. Now Lord, you know all the issues You’ll shepherd this Child throughout And please let her sense your closeness Til victory comes through with a shout ..read more

. From the place of death I look out from tomb’s door I sense again my breath And hope like ne’er before. The Master comes as asked Four days no hindrance known He calmly calls me back The Shepherd claims His own. My sisters must repent From thoughts He did not care Delay had simply lent To greater miracle here. We think of all those times He shared our home and board And now a life sublime So lovingly restored. As if all gone before Could not compare to this All fear of loss transformed To calm and brotherly bliss ..read more

Saw this article on Facebook: A Lady asks: “How much do you sell your eggs for?”The old vendor replies “0.50 ¢ an egg, madam” .The Lady says, I’ll take 6 eggs for $2.50 or I’m leaving. The old salesman replies Buy them at the price you want, Madam. This is a good start for me because I haven’t sold a single egg today and I need this to live. She bought her eggs at a bargain price and left with the feeling that she had won. She got into her fancy car and went to a fancy restaurant with her friend. She and her friend ordered what they wanted. They ate a little and left a lot of what they had as ..read more

Upon his death the Authorities of Heaven grant him one wish to govern the afterlife. He chooses to return to the simple affairs of men and women to offer them refreshment and joy in music, comfort, beautiful scenes, exciting events and charity of heart. He crosses the path of a tired out Circus Wagon Train. The season and weather have been disappointing. The Showman and his Wife are having difficulty bearing up. The entertainers ..read more

Beauty the shared narratives Of rich poetic genius From Tennyson, Enoch Arden And Masefield Enslaved between us. The one a shipwrecked sailor Who sees the waves of years His grieving Wife the Miller takes When once have stopped the tears. And children there to make a home Before the Sailor’s rescue On England’s soil, he boards to toil But will not union undo. The other tale’s in Eastern lands Where minarets and weaponed hands Arrest a love and sail her far A pirate ship and guiding star To haunting spiced Saffee. Her lover follows and comes board To work a slave at wearying oar. Until a night ..read more

So I yearned towards my darling while I drooped upon my bench.  All the galley’s length was shaken when the mainsail gave a wrench;  Always when I roused, the taffrail toppled up to touch the stars,  And the roaring seas ran hissing, and the planks whined, and the spars.  Day by day I rowed the galley, night by night I saw the Pole  Sinking lower in the northward, to the sorrow of my soul;  Yet at night I saw my darling when she came on deck to walk,  And our thoughts past to each other though they would not let us talk.  Till early on a morning, before ..read more
