Since then he puppeteered Otis the Aardvark for 5 years on the BBC, performed as The Emperor Skeksis in Dark Crystal Age of Resistance and is one of the puppeteers the iconic round droid BB-8 in the recent Star Wars Films. He also performed the villainous Constantine in the 2014 film Muppets Most Wanted and has made The Muppet’s Uncle Deadly the breakout fan favorite he is today. Aanika’s Elephants is a stage show featuring puppetry that is about a young Kenyan girl who meets a baby elephant at the orphanage where her father works. The show was written by Emmy Award winning Sesame Street writer Annie Evans and directed by Sesame Street and Muppets puppeteer Pam Arciero. He joined Sesame Street’s writing staff in 1991 and would become head writer on the show in 2009. He also co-wrote the screenplays for The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland and Muppets From Space.
