Death of a Bookseller is as dark as it is captivating, as unsettling as it is addictive and a truly exceptional novel to get stuck into. Death of a Bookseller, Alice Slater Themes: Fiction, Contemporary, Mystery, Thriller Reading Format: Hardback 5 STARS I’ve never read a book that’s made me feel skin-crawlingly gross yet fascinated. I couldn’t put this book down, it captivated me from the off with its car-crash characters, bookshop setting and obsessive plot. We’re seeing this plot told through Laura and Roach’s narratives, two very different characters who go through quite the journey togeth ..read more

The No-Show is the latest book from Beth O’Leary, a contemporary romance following three women who are all stood up on Valentine’s Day by the same man. The No-Show, Beth O’Leary Themes: Fiction, Contemporary, Romance Reading Format: Hardback 4 STARS I went through a rollercoaster of thoughts when reading this book, at the start, I enjoyed the atmosphere, by the middle I was getting kinda mad and then at the end I had goosebumps. There’s little I can say reflectively about this book without spoiling it, so little I will say. This is a book about three women, they’ve all been stood up on Valenti ..read more

Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow is a beautiful book following two game designers throughout their lives and careers. Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, Gabrielle Zevin Themes: Fiction, Contemporary, Gaming, Romance Reading Format: Paperback 5 STARS This book will be one that sticks with me for a while to come for so many different reasons. This book had so much to offer from a passion for gaming and critiques of society, to a slow-burning romance. Following friends from childhood as they enter into their adult lives at the helm of a gaming company and the many complications that come along ..read more
