After the most exciting World Series finale, I think we have ever had, I would like to thank everyone that had a part in making the 2023 World Series a success. This year’s series turned out to be one of the smoothest in our 20-year/18 World Series history. The people who were on site and in the Atlantic Inn did a great job all week. Due to the weather, it took both teams playing a double header on Saturday, but Central/Illinois and Southwest/Texas won out, and punched their ticket to the Championship Game, Sunday. Southwest turns a Double play to earn their spot in the Championship Game. In the early game, Central rolled over Latin America, 16-0, then defeated West, 9-0. They used bursts of scoring and good pitching and defense to earn their spot in the final. For the second-straight year, Guayama (Puerto Rico) Softball Little League will head to the Little League Softball® World Series in Greenville, North Carolina, after defeating Mexico, 3-2, in the 2023 Latin America Region Tournament Championship.
