Understanding Pre-Worry
Pre-worry is short for preemptive worrying. It’s when we start envisioning negative outcomes for situations that haven’t even occurred. For example, you might pre-worry that your project will be criticized, or that you won’t get a response from someone you care about. Pre-worry thoughts drain your energy and create unnecessary anxiety.
In my experience as a psychologist, I’ve seen that anxiety is often a waste of time and energy. It involves repeatedly thinking about future events that we don’t want to happen. This habit can feel unbreakable for some people, while for ..read more

The Magic of Affirmations
Affirmations aren't just about repeating positive phrases; they're about rewiring your brain for success. I know, initially, the idea of affirmations might seem a bit unconventional or even trivial. Today’s post is inspired by events that have happened to me in the past 24 hours. Nothing Earth-shattering but worth describing as each event brought greater clarity to me. The general theme of this blogpost is how to develop and maintain clarity with the end goal being making time for success.
Clarity Lesson #1:
The first lesson I had was from last night, while thinking about the concept of clutter. I had a bit of an epiphany and that was that clutter puts us in the habit of ignoring what is right in front of us and allowing our clarity and our clear view to be partially blocked.  ..read more

I recently told someone who was saying they didn’t have time to observe their habits more closely that I now spend my days curious how I might save 12 seconds here and there. Easy timesavers are my jam. Searching for easy timesavers has become second nature to me — and that's because they allow me to have breathing room throughout the day.
I wanted to share my 6 easy timesavers with you here today, because they have helped me to be highly productive without suffering like I used to when I was procrastinating all the time.

In recent years, I have noticed that people have steered away from making New Year's Resolutions for fear of breaking them or not starting them at all. I've thought a lot about this issue (because it comes up every year :)), and I decided last year that setting New Year's Resolutions is a great tradition and habit to have.
Why? Because goals help us to stretch ourselves. New goals help us to experiment with parts of ourselves that have not yet seen the light of day or have not yet been ready for prime time. When we set New Year's Resolutions, or even just think careful ..read more

I want to address the topic of frustration because frustration can be extremely debilitating when we are trying to get things done. I am going to explain the reason why frustration can turn into a roadblock to our productivity, and then I will describe different ways that you can turn your negative feelings into feelings of being empowered.
I became interested in the topic of frustation long ago, when I noticed that clients who did not know how to handle their feelings of frustration often slowed down in their progress with their work, or even stopped working completely.
Oftentimes, I h ..read more
