The abiding problem with the Left is that they don't want democracy ultimately. They want Democracy. Which is the left's version of democracy that means they are voted in. This is predicated on their inability to see how unworkable and wrong many of their ideas actually are, being more concerned with being morally right. They also cannot understand why people disagree with them which is why, still now, people are belting about how the people were wrong on Brexit.
