Luxury shopping is a funny thing. People who are well-versed in shopping designer will often say that investing in classic pieces is the way to go. I think that’s a fabulous plan, and one that I would love to implement one day. But for now, as a recent graduate, I can’t exactly afford to put a down-payment on a designer piece. I also don’t have the time (or the luck!) to scour thrift stores for luxury finds, and I’m sure many of you can relate! So, how can we get in on the fun without having to pay the hefty price tag? We rent! I’ve partnered up with Beyond the Runway to share some Luxe Looks ..read more

7 Fall Trends You Need in Your Wardrobe

This year, I wanted to keep my fall shopping at a minimum. I knew I’d be working from home, so my only outings would be socially distant gatherings or grocery shopping (both vitally important occasions for fashion!). I also wanted to do my best to repurpose older items in my closet – fashion is cyclical, after all! With all that said, here’s what I DID buy this season… so you know they’re good. Leather Trousers When I saw how hard the Melina Pant from Aritzia was trending last month, I definitely wanted to get a pair. BUT, it’s like 200 dollars, and I totally already have a pair of leather pan ..read more

It’s safe to say that I’ve been doing a LOT of online shopping during the lockdown. While much of it consisted of joggers, bike shorts, and sweatshirts, I did make sure to pick out a few choice pieces for my summer wardrobe. Although things are slowly opening back up where I live, it still feels a little weird to return to normalcy. In an effort to reduce my closet size, I’ll be bringing some of my favourite summer trends into autumn with me! Swimwear x The Bra Top Trend Considering that I spent most of the summer avoiding beaches like the plague (because the plague was there), I chose swimwe ..read more

I’m sure I speak for most of us when I say that this is far from the summer that I expected! Being my first summer out of school and working full-time, I was looking forward to a summer full of exciting adventures, sandy beaches, and endless pink cocktails. Instead, it’s looking like my summer will consist of air conditioning, ice cream, and iced coffee. Not that any of those things are bad – they’re actually the glue holding me together. I’m now officially a university graduate, diploma, and all. Although I technically completed my studies in December, it’s a little sad to think that there wo ..read more

Hey. So, it’s kind of a weird time right now, to say the least. There’s a lot of fear and worry in the world, and it’s definitely unnerving. Most of us have been stuck in our houses for over a month, and personally, it’s getting really stale. On a lighter note, it’s spring, it’s nice out (for those lovely, physical distancing walks) and winter is finally over! Fashion is something that always makes me feel better, so maybe it will do the same for you. Here are my favourite spring trends – all quarantine-approved. SILK & SATIN Luxe fabrics are always trendy during the spring and summer mon ..read more

What to Wear this October: An Early Fall Lookbook

Fall is always my favourite season – I love the cool weather, the crunchy leaves, the moody tones. I was honestly pretty sure that fall was just everyone’s favourite season, but I just looked it up, and it’s actually spring. So that’s interesting. Fall is clearly also fashion’s favourite season; it’s cool enough to wear sweaters without being so cold that you have to bundle up. Like I mentioned in my previous post about the biggest trends this fall, cardigans are a must-have, along with staples like pinafores, cozy sweaters, and layered chains. While it’s still a little warm out, here are some ..read more

Okay, disclaimer; this is not going to be a life lessons kind of blog post. I’m only 22 – I’m basically a child! I know some things, but 21? I dunno, I’d run out of things, I think. I’m 22 today (a Libra, no one is surprised) and I thought this would be a great way to share some things I’ve enjoyed over the past year. This also allows me to share some photos that either didn’t make it to my Instagram page or haven’t yet. I’ve split them into 3 categories- fashion, beauty and lifestyle. That way, if you’re only interested in one category, you can go straight there. So let’s do it; here are 21 t ..read more

A Week of Office Looks + The Ultimate Workwear Essentials

Happy September! As lovely as this long weekend was, the passing of Labour Day always feels like the end of summer. There’s totally another month before fall starts, but the summer-y vibe basically disappears after this last long weekend. It’s also definitely getting chillier here in Toronto, but real Canadians know we’re due for a heatwave before it stays cool for autumn. I asked on Instagram if a week of office looks would be something you guys would want to see up on the blog, and the results were a resounding yes (thanks for the validation, guys). For reference, I work as a content writer ..read more

So I know fall doesn’t officially start until late September (it falls on my birthday this year, just FYI), but I start planning my fall wardrobe once August hits. This year, I actually started planning my wardrobe in July because I found a magnificent pair of boots from Zara that I simply had to own. Mind you, I wore them multiple times this summer too because I’m that obsessed with them. I have a few things left to do to make my summer feel complete (Shakespeare in the park, a trip to the CNE, a drive-in movie), but I’m basically ready for summer to end and fall to begin. That said, when one ..read more
