Yes yes, I know what you are going to say,: Siddharth! Where were you all this while? Why didn’t you write anything? You see, the lockdown got me super de-motivated. I didn’t want to do stuff, didn’t want to write and just sit and watch Youtube and play games all day. But that doesn’t work does it? The whole lockdown I have been avoiding writing or reading or doing anything of any productive sort. Now, even though it may seem like I had a lotta fun, I didn’t. I just kept on feeling more and more useless and I still am. I haven’t achieved anything new in this 5-6 month period. But wait, this is ..read more

A Simple Belief Can Take You a Long Way

I recently read a book called ‘The Alchemist’. This one was the type people call (or atleast what I call) ‘The Grown Up’ book. It was at a whole new league from the ‘Children’s Books’ I have been reading. Here’s what I thought about it. ‘The Alchemist’ is not the normal grown-up book you read and especially not like any other book I have reviewed. It talks about the different things in life like hard work, fate, love. It talks about following your destiny and how, if you do follow it, the whole universe conspires to get you there. It tells us all this through the tale of a simple shepherd foll ..read more

Sunset at the Beach

As I entered the beach I could feel the damp sand underneath my feet. I neared the sea which was filled with froth like a churning milkshake. Straight ahead was the horizon on which the sun stood, half here half there. Like a large orange biscuit dipped in the endless sea. The golden clouds glistened in the light of the fading sun. They blew around wildly as if it were a warning for a hurricane nearby. The sky was a mixture of yellow, orange, red and grey, like paints spilled on a canvas. All in all a spectacular sight. Slowly the sun dived into the sea, into enternal darkness, except for the ..read more

You know what, even though I have h.w. I am not doing it anyway, because I have a glorious holiday and no one can take ..read more

The Graveyard

I was woken up y the hooting of an owl. The damp soil beneath me felt like spears on my back. I opened my eyes. There were barren trees and dark mist swirling around. I was sleeping on a pathway leading to a black iron gate. I sat up with a jolt. “Where am I?” I thought. The rusted iron gate looked uninviting yet it had a strange gravity to it. I slowly walked to the gate as if in a trance and peered inside. There were bones and bodies everywhere. Dug-up coffins lay open. A pungent odor rose from the ground as various insects feasted on the human body parts. The gate opened with a loud “cr ..read more
