Its been a while since my last post, what with the virus and the cancellation of golf its been a quiet few months. Hard to think that 4 months ago I was in the middle east looking forward to my next tournament, making friends and loving life. I look outside and all I see is blue sky and sunshine ! But what is strange is thats all I have seen since this all began? Mans best friend has always shared a unbreakable bond, for most families they are extra children, for farms and police they are work colleagues and partners. For me he was just my oz, the dog who would put his big fat head on my shoulders, the dog that would always stand between me and the wife when I had unsavoury thoughts. While the likes of you and me are listening to the government's advice and staying at home, there are a small amount of animals that are not. So we are all stuck inside and the summer is fast approaching and no one is playing golf. Now this maybee our worst nightmare but for green keepers its a dream come true. At the moment they are allowed to still work and maintain the course, this also could be seen as a opportunity for them to do all the things they wanted without fear or the need to wait till after a certian time. As the weather is warm and the sun shines down, today I have seen what can be achieved witha little support from others. Each county, city and community are both asking for help and getting it, the government asked us to be a bit more responsible and shop considerably, the results speak for themselves. Well if your like me then you will have the BBC on and watching the news to keep updated and informed. But maybee your not maybee your out playing golf going to the pub ! The advice is stay in avoid social spaces and this will save lives but many people feel that there one pint is more important than one life.
