I'm not sure I've ever really thanked Wendy Vella for opening up such a vast array of wonder and excitement for me. Her Sinclair and Raven collection originally helped me discover my love for historical fiction with a little twist. Since I pick up the first book, I've been unable to stop reading her stuff.      I've worked my way through the Sinclair and Raven Series, The Lords of Night Street, Regency Rakes, and the Langley Sisters. I've enjoyed watching the lives of the characters she created evolve and grow as they appear in various other series.&nbs ..read more

I've read many books by Ms Emily Windsor and I have never been left disappointed. In fact, I've been waiting for a new book to come out! The Duke of Diamonds is everything I expected from Emily's writing style and more.      I've explored my share of historical romance and there have been times whereby I find myself bored with the same topic. It always needs a little something besides the usual social norms and money to separate the work from the million others.      In this newest book, we become acquainted with Casper Brook, t ..read more

This has been due to some on going anxiety and I think it’s important to start a conversation about what that means to people and what it means to me.  I started to show sighs of anxiety as a child. I had an incredibly chaotic childhood and was given a lot of responsibility at a young age. My anxiety was so significant at that time that I would vomit nightly. My parents were concerned that there was something physical happening and I endured tests and exams to find out what was “wrong” with me. The doctor eventually s ..read more

Hey all, We've been trying our hand at writing out an idea for a possible romance novel. I'll update on the blog once chapters are done, but I would love to get some input from other bloggers and lovers of romance. :) Positive / negative comments are fine as long as they are respectful! The Reluctant Cowgirl  is the working title but open to suggestions. But take a look at the prologue and Chapter 1. Let us know. We would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Prologue  Eight Years Ago..  “What do you expect of me, Lizzie?” Aubrey asked her best friend of five years, while trying on dresses ..read more

I'm certain that anyone who spends any time on social media has come across the bookmark challenge that some companies have engaged in. I will say, I'm trying really hard not to lose my temper while writing this post, so cut me some slack.  There had been an outpouring of outrage from book lovers everywhere in response to this PR stunt at the expense of books. Companies such as Oreo, Vitamin Water and Chex Mix have actively participated and have received blow back from book and literacy advocates around the world. My question is: DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE ARE PISSED? Oh, you don't ..read more
