Which doors work on Jeeps and which ones don’t! I get calls all the time about Jeep doors. So I thought I’d write about them. The CJ 7 came with either full soft doors or full steel doors. If you want to put full steel doors on a CJ 7, you can use Wrangler YJ doors (1987-1995). They fit perfectly and will cost between $600- $900 a pair used. Don’t forget to ask about the keys. Over the years I’ve gotten a lot of calls from CJ5 owners. They all ask the same question, do we make a hardtop for their CJ5? Like all Jeep owners, CJ5 guys take a lot of pride in their Jeeps. Figuring out the good truck hard top deals from the bad! Everybody wants a deal. But, is a deal really a deal? Being in this business for awhile, I’ve heard it all. Like the guy who inspired me to write this article. He buys a used Jeep hardtop for his Wrangler, what a deal. He only paid $300 for it, it’s only missing the rear window.
