The 10 Things I Loved About 2020
Bright and Brewtiful

2020 has been a year of firsts. First time working a fulltime beer job. First time moving to a new state. First time homeschooling a 7-year-old while the world burned around us due to a global pandemic. You know how it is. It’s also my first time returning to Bright and Brewtiful after over a year away. Over the past 14 months, I’ve settled into my new job and did my best to deal with the circus that was 2020. I’m hopeful that 2021 will bring some much-needed life back to this blog. I’ve seriously missed it over the last year! I also hope that 2021 will bring an overall sense of normalcy back ..read more

Bright and Brewtiful
by Julie Walker

The Great Pumpkin Beer 2019 Review
Bright and Brewtiful

I know, I know. Pumpkin beers have been cropping up all over the place since August, when many of us were still on the beach sipping shandies. For pumpkin beer, 2019 saw shelves stocked with this autumnal offering earlier than ever. Still, with Halloween right around the corner I find myself drawn to this seasonal favorite. I, for one, am a fan of the fall staple despite the cries of protest from beer geeks this year. I recently donned my UGG boots (okay, I don’t ow ..read more

Your vacations are more about entertaining your children and having adventures with your extended family than they are about truly relaxing. As we rang in the new year this January, my husband, Jamie, and I decided to treat ourselves and book a trip to Paris – for just the two of us. We would be celebrating 10 years of marriage in the fall, and we wanted to do it with a bang! Nine months and one re-booked flight later (thanks, WOW Airlines), we said au re ..read more
