The Munsters for some is going to be a very nostalgic experience. Even in this new incarnation, you can still get some of that, particularly in Herman.

This year hasn't been the riotous return to the cinema I'd have liked, but thankfully there were still some epic watches (as well as some epic fails).
First, what have we learned from cinema going this year?
That children are probably still some of the better behaved viewers
That if you want to see a film, you need to see it the week it comes out, otherwise Avatar will stop you from seeing violent Santa repeatedly... sorry, that was very specific
That I should renew my availability for Hawkeye-style patrolling of screenings and beanbag round anyone who talks louder than a whisper or bring ..read more

Happy Spooky Season!
If you haven't already caught it, check out A to M of my Halloween A-Z... for everyone else, let's finish what we started.
N - Nightmares
Though I thankfully haven't experienced it yet, this pick could absolutely be about films that gave you nightmares. Night House came pretty close with its shadows and shapes coming to life, or Annabelle Comes Home, which is the first time I've watched something and felt a twinge of terror.
Instead, I was thinking about the ghastly things that insight nightmares in the movies, and I will admit to being a terrible movie watcher... again ..read more

This screening was a hoot. The film was good, but I’d also just like to give a shout out to the people sitting on either side of me… sadly, I don’t know who they were, I will just fondly talk about them in the future as we ..read more

Happy Spooky Season!
Be it spooky, horror or thriller, you always need something to keep you on the edge of your seat during October.
A - Abandoned Places
A classic spooky situation, bonus points if there's a shabby cobwebbed attic. Is there a psychopath hiding in a darkened room? Or are there spirits inhabiting their old hospital rooms trying to inhabit your body so they can escape? We just don't know, and that's why abandoned places make for great movies.
Ones to watch: Mindhunters, The Shining, Zombieland: Double Tap, Ghost Ship, House on Haunted Hill, 1408, Deep Rising.
B - Big Beasties ..read more
