Now and then, on my luxury home remodel shoots, I walk into a genuinely jaw-dropping home. Earthway Enterprises spared no talent on this project. This bathroom was one of the coolest and cleanest designs that I have ever shot. It’s always a blast seeing what Keith and his luxury home remodel team whip up. Just look at that bathroom mirror! Did I mention that the electronic blinds open and close at the touch of a button? The post Luxury Home Remodel – appeared first on KC Media Team ..read more

Custom Home Photography – The White House

I loved shooting this property by one of my long-standing custom home builders, Owen Homes. Shooting custom home photography is easy when you have a client that produces such a quality product. The client’s custom kitchen bench to fit their entire family around the table at meals, the beautiful wrought iron staircase and the outdoor fireplaces were specific callouts from this shoot. I am sure you can tell why I dubbed this home, “The White House.” But, the color for this home seemed to fit. It never felt sterile but welcoming. The perfect mix of wood and white makes this a house you never want ..read more

Twilight Shoot – Luxury Real Estate Photography

On the back end of Louisburg, Kansas, just off a gravel road, sits a beautiful custom built home with a private lake nestled in the woods. The autumn colors of October perfectly brought out the oranges, yellows, and reds that showcase the brick home. During the day, ground photography showcases the home’s interior, but at the twilight shoot, the home beams from above. Luxury real estate photography looks just like this – a perfectly timed series of photos that capture various features of the home, sky, and landscape that you can’t catch during the day. At this twilight shoot, I shot the perfec ..read more

Virtual Staging – Your Real Estate Essential

The onset of Covid-19 has changed many things in our economy, but one of the most considerable impacts I have seen on the real estate market in Kansas City is the need for virtual staging. The Problem I have noticed a marked increase in the number of vacant homes I have shot just this month. Homeowners are looking to minimize exposure to the virus and buy their new home before selling their current. This means there are more empty houses entering the market than ever before. Buyers have to make appointments now to see homes, and there has been a tremendous drop in the number of open houses hap ..read more

Remodel Photography – The Hyde Park Home

One of our favorite home remodelers is at it again with this Hyde Park bathroom remodel photography project. Earthway Enterprises has wowed us in the past with their Bright Brookside Remodel, and this bathroom didn’t miss a beat either. Everything about this home was original – flooring, windows, and stone front, but the updated bathroom brought this home to another level. Our favorite – the standalone tub – it was worth busting the knees for this shot. The post Remodel Photography – The Hyde Park Home appeared first on KC Media Team ..read more

One of the most expansive franchised laser hair removal treatment facilities, Milan, hired KC Media Team for this recent commercial photography project for their newest Kansas store in Topeka. I love when commercial clients send me a list of their preferred shot list, so I know exactly how to succeed, and Milan did not disappoint. They had a list of their select shots with room for some creative spins too! The post Commercial Photography – Milan Laser appeared first on KC Media Team ..read more

Custom Home Photography – The 70s Remodel

Owen Homes has been a client for a long time, and I always enjoy seeing their custom homes’ diversity. In particular, this custom home photography session had me craving some cheese fondue and an excellent political discussion session. This home is a stark contrast from their other farmhouse custom home builds. Check out that cute, private reading nook and that swanky bar around the corner. Long-Term Rental Photography – The New Norm

This year, I have seen exponential growth and a greater need for long-term rental photography. I have been surprised by how many new investors have chosen 2020 to start this new venture. Like AirBnBs, you do not shoot a long term rental home the same way you would a new real estate listing. Instead of focusing on a room’s space and neutralizing the area, long-term rental photography showcases the personal touches of a home and all of the goodies that come with your rental. Brookside Bright Remodel

It may have been a stormy day on the day of this shoot, but inside was anything but dark in this Brookside Bright Remodel. This remodel by Earthway Enterprises features light cabinets, black windows, and a two-tone island. I love the way the orange styling complements the green island cabinets and the stainless steel appliances. Check out the original archway in the home and the brick accent wall and that the remodelers insisted on keeping. It provides a personal touch. The custom built-in pulls the island’s color to create one cohesive flow throughout the kitchen and into the dining room s ..read more
