With the recent news of UFC Bantamweight contender John Lineker being released from the company, I began to think about the recent UFC starts that have left the organization in pursuit of other promotions. UFC 239 was one of the most anticipated cards of the year, with notable match ups from the Men’s Light Heavyweight, Welterweight and Women’s Bantamweight divisions. The card ended up living up to the hype and maybe surpassing it as it was filled with knockouts and action throughout. Let us look at the results and highlights of the card.

1. Jon Jones
There is no doubt that Jon Jones deserves to be included on this list as he is undoubtedly one of the greatest fighters on the planet today. The current Light Heavyweight champion has a near undefeated record of 24-1-1 (his only loss coming off a disqualification to Matt Hamill). It would be hard for me to not put him at the top of this list as he has ran through the entire division with flying colors. With wins over Gustafsson, Cormier, Texiera, Bader, Shogun, Machida and Anthony Smith, he has beaten the who’s who in the division. Some might argue that Cormier should be ranked ..read more
