This thrilling West End production is THE genre-defining murder mystery from the best-selling novelist of all time… case closed! As news spreads of a murder in London, a group of seven strangers find themselves snowed in at a remote countryside guesthouse. When a police sergeant arrives, the guests discover – to their horror – that ... Read more ..read more

Awful Auntie is the third David Walliams production we have seen and it certainly wasn’t for the faint hearted!
Life is hard when you are alone, orphaned and wake up from being in a coma. Oh, and your auntie is trying to kill you! (Yes this is marketed for kids!)
Only Walliams could get away with such a dastardly plot which kids love because it pushes the boundaries a little and unnerves the grown ups!
The show has strong lead performers who are very engaging and fun from the start. The set design and creative changes of scenery really add depth and dimension to the plot and leaves an enthusi ..read more

We adored Everybody’s talking about Jamie at Newcastle Royal recently.
The cast were energetic and full of fun, the songs were excellent and favourites included the triple threat Giovanna Fletcher (I was already a fan but she was great!) and John Partridge who just gave the most honest and emotional portrayal of Loco Chanelle.
Jamie was a real mix of grit and hardship with some glitter thrown in! The show definitely has the message of following your dreams which may not be easy but it can be done if you have a little help from your friends and can shine through. What a fantastic show we lov ..read more

What a beautiful festive treat we had listening to this timeless soundtrack and watching the iconic Snowman on the big screen. The production was beautiful and even included a bonus mini show of In the swamp by the light of the moon composed especially for The Glasshouse.
Seeing little ones delight in the costume and theatrics as well as interact with the wonderful host was magical and it was such a treat for early years to witness live music and sounds accompanying a bright and interactive story.
The Glasshouse has some amazing shows and there is lots to discover for 2024. We can’t wait ..read more

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, our turn to go and watch the fairest panto of them all!
Pop and musical theatre star Gareth Gates thoroughly entertains as the most charming and handsome of princes. He also proves his voice really has the X factor and the audience was loving his performance.
Joining the line-up is Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan from ITV’s The Chase, who played the Wicked Queen Dragonella, alongside hilarious comic and panto aficionado Josh Benson, who joins the cast as the loveable Muddles, Marina Lawrence-Mahrra as Snow White, and Jamie Jones as Mrs Nelly Nightnurse.

So my Friday night became amazing when I took my daughter along to the hilarious Stranger Sings shown at The Glasshouse in Gateshead last night!
Wow! Just wow! What a show and the 80’s nostalgia and memories just never stopped all evening meaning we just had THE best time. Not that she was alive in the 80;s but still I talked about it anyway!!! Coco is more invested in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things and we’ve watched it in it’s entirety together having lots of fun along the way.
From the moment you step into the stage area you’re fully immersed in the show and era. With nostalgi ..read more

A truly frightening piece of theatre this week as the show based on the classic book started it’s run at the Hippodrome. Just in time for spooky season this dark and sinister production creates an unnerving atmosphere for it’s audience from the start. From the immersive set to the very intimate scenes; the show really brings the audience right into the heart of this creepy narrative.
The classic story is given a modern twist and this really works bringing old themes into the new. The themes of abandonment, loneliness and the question of whether humans have the right to create life and t ..read more

A murderous trip to Westerberg High for Heathers the musical at Darlington Hippodrome last night and what a show!
Having last watched the film at least a decade ago the musical re tells part of the original story and takes aspects of it into whole other directions as new interpretations often do.
The cast brought high energy and drama with stunning vocals and characterisation. The Heathers certainly shone and made their characters impactful and striking. You couldn’t fail to be drawn in to their dominance on the stage in their red, yellow and green attire.

Oh to be 14 again…a time of boyband obsession, 90’s bubblegum pop and Smash Hits magazine. One can bring this distant dream straight back to reality with Greatest Days the official Take That musical and what an energetic fun offering it was.
Greatest Days combines so many Take That classics you won’t be able to resist clapping along and I bet you’ll remember all the words too!
Take That were always my favourite ever band (Apart from the Hanson deviation at one point but lets not go there shall we!) I was team Howard/Mark and in later life I still follow them and have seen lots of their rece ..read more
