Everton crashed to another disappointing home defeat as they were unable to recover after the stunning third minute opener from Alejandro Garnacho. The Goodison crowd did just about everything it could to lift the players but, in the end, sadly we have to admit that the visitors were the better side… although they didn’t need quite so much help from arguably the most inept display of officiating seen this season, and VAR yet again. In the wake of the allegedly independent commission assessing the Blues a ten point deduction, Goodison Park this afternoon was no place for the faint hearted as a ..read more

‘Injustice and Unity – Everton’s fight back
GrandOldTeam | Everton FC Fan Site

Anytime from around mid-morning last Friday you will have constantly heard the words ‘Everton and 10 point deduction’ – each time you hear it there feels a sharper sense of anger and disbelief. This was injustice that reverberated around the football world – the FA backed by their independent (ish) panel scrutinised every in and out of Everton’s finances and decided – beyond all reasonable thinking – a ten-point deduction is necessary. 10 points. Let that sink in; it’s 3 wins and a draw just taken away in the blink of an eye and sent the blues plummeting into 19th. Shortly after the news had ..read more

Another superb London awayday for Everton as they led three time at Selhurst Park to seal back-to-back wins for the first time this season. A first minute strike from Vitalii Mykolenko, a second lead from Abdoulaye Doucoure and the unlikeliest of winners from Idrissa Gana Guye made it three wins from three visits to the capital. Selhurst Park on Armistice Day saw Crystal Palace host the Blues who were looking for a third victory on the road against London-based opposition. Palace started the day in mid-table and four points better off than the visitors who had been building some team confiden ..read more

Everton 1-1 Brighton

An enthralling game at Goodison ended level as Brighton claimed a late, late equaliser via cruel deflection off Ashley Young to deny the Blues a victory that looked to have come their way through an early first half strike from Vitalii Mykolenko. The Blues followed up their victory at West Ham with progression into the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup with a 3-0 beating of Burnley, and that was rewarded with a home tie in the final eight draw as Fulham will visit Goodison for a game to determine who will make it through to the semi-final stage. Saturday though saw a return to Premier League ..read more

After a quite dreadful first half, Everton grasped the opportunity to take three points from their second visit to London this season as a sweet move and excellent finish from Dominic Calvert-Lewin was enough to settle the outcome in the Blues favour. West Ham vs Everton pitched former Blues boss David Moyes against Sean Dyche with the Irons seven places and seven points better off than the Blues but maybe (hopefully), a little bit tired after an unsuccessful Europa League trip to Greece last Thursday that saw them go down 2-1 to Olympiakos. Moyes was keen to maintain the Irons recent record ..read more

Pundit Chris Sutton has predicted the outcome of West Ham United v Everton tomorrow afternoon. Sean Dyche’s side travel to the London Stadium off the back of a frustrating albeit predictable derby day result, and Sutton states he has a ‘sneaky feeling’ the Blues will bounce back this weekend. Indeed, Sutton insists that with forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin now ‘looking sharp’, Everton could get something out of the game. Writing in his weekly BBC Sport column, Sutton predicts a 1-1 draw in the capital, stating: “I just have a sneaky feeling that Everton are going to get something, especially wi ..read more

Everton Football Club is in mourning following the death of Chairman Bill Kenwright CBE, who passed away peacefully last night aged 78, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Everton’s longest serving chairman for more than a century, Bill Kenwright led the Club through a period of unprecedented change in English football. A lifelong Evertonian, he became a board member on October 23, 1989, and then on Boxing Day 1999 his True Blue Holdings consortium acquired the Club.
