Aldi has announced that it is calling on the British public for support in identifying sites for new stores. The discounter is looking to open some 35 new stores this year, with the aim of meeting its long-term goal of adding 500 stores to its portfolio to reach 1,500 stores across the UK. The ‘Next New Store’ initiative is part of a £550m investment into expanding its UK footprint in 2024.
