So, it’s New Year’s Eve. I’m working, of course. But, I’m supposed to be off at 5:30pm. Well, let’s be honest, I’m off whenever my boss decides he wants to leave the office. I’m hoping since it IS New Year’s Eve and he is going to a party, he’ll duck out early and I’ll be able to leave at a decent hour so that I can make the hour commute home. I’ve lived in Jacksonville now for over 3 years and each year during Hurricane Season, we see storms…tropical storms, etc. But, since I’ve lived here, nothing like Hurricane Matthew. This, the news noted, was the biggest Hurricane in over a decade and was going to slam our beautiful city. I wasn ..read more

My hubs and I bought a townhome in Jacksonville last year. Yay for us, right!? Well, let me back up. We put the downpayment on our “forever home” in August of 2014. We didn’t get the luxury of moving in until April of 2016. Why? As you will soon learn through numerous blogs, there is SO much more to building a house apparently, then one could ever think. If I never hear the word PUNCHLIST again, it will be too soon for me.
This is just one story of the many about our lovely, luxurious townhome.
The hurricane that came through a few months back knocked down some lovely trees that used to ..read more
